User Name
[edit]I've typed my user name wrong. Is there any way I can change it, other than creating another account? By the way, i'm the anomynous who you kept suggesting should get an account. :) Now I've got one. WITH THE WRONG NAME!!! :( Nukleoptra 18:40, 26 February 2007 (UTC)
- Congratulations on getting a username! In answer to your question, go to WP:CHU for more information. However, since you are a very new user, you might be told to create a new account since your current account has very few edits. Acalamari 18:53, 26 February 2007 (UTC)
Nukleoptra username change
[edit]In response to your question, I was looking under recent changes for usertalks because of an outbreak of vandalism I saw a little while ago. I noticed his question while checking it out for vandalism and desided that I could answer the question while I was there. Sorry for the inconvienece if there was any. Shotmenot 19:03, 26 February 2007 (UTC)
- Inconvenience? No! I was just asking, that was all. You caused no inconvenience at all! :) Acalamari 19:05, 26 February 2007 (UTC)
- Haha well that is good to hear. Happy wiki'ing and maybe we will cross again. Shotmenot 19:10, 26 February 2007 (UTC)
How to Add Userboxes

- How are you confused? Acalamari 19:49, 26 February 2007 (UTC)
- The article is wayy long and I tried to do a userbox and it didn't work. Also, I had a 'this user is english' userbox but it's disappeared.
- Go to the gallery section of the article. There are userbox collections there. Acalamari 20:04, 26 February 2007 (UTC)
- Look at my user page... —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Nukleoptra (talk • contribs) 20:30, 26 February 2007 (UTC).

Userpage vandalism
[edit]My original message: Thanks for reverting the vandalism to my user page. :) Acalamari 03:36, 27 February 2007 (UTC)
You're welcome! I have a block tab open on that one: any more and I click "OK" and he's outta here. Cheers, Antandrus (talk) 03:38, 27 February 2007 (UTC)

Category:Wikipedians who are Gemini
[edit]I've speedy deleted a category you created, Category:Wikipedians who are Gemini, as recreation of deleted material per this discussion that ended in a consensus to merge all these types of categories to Category:Wikipedians interested in astrology. If you have any questions feel free to ask them on my talk page. Thanks for understanding! VegaDark 07:47, 27 February 2007 (UTC)
- Sorry about creating the category, I was unaware of that discussion. I created the category because I thought I was being helpful in removing a redlink. Thanks for removing it. Acalamari 16:09, 27 February 2007 (UTC)

RE: New userbox.
[edit]Hey there Acalamari! Not so sure it will make it as a userbox in Template space. Why not try implementing it in User space. For example you can create the template on User:Acalamari/Awards giver and implement it like a template by typing {{User:Acalamari/Awards giver}}. Lots of user boxes work that way now adays due to many of them not directly relating to Wikipedia. Hope this helps.¤~Persian Poet Gal (talk) 00:36, 28 February 2007 (UTC)
- I don't quite understand what you mean. Also, I can't create any more subpages, for I thought that users are only allowed two. I have an awards subpage and my archives. Acalamari 00:37, 28 February 2007 (UTC)
You are allowed more than two silly :P. I'll show you a trick. I can post all my userboxes for you by typing the following code {{User:Persian Poet Gal/userboxes}}:
User:Persian Poet Gal/userboxes
The same applies to your userbox. Simply create a new subpage and you can implement the box that way.¤~Persian Poet Gal (talk) 00:40, 28 February 2007 (UTC)
- There is no hard limit on subpages. I have several subpages. HighInBC (Need help? Ask me) 00:41, 28 February 2007 (UTC)
- Let me try something then. Acalamari 00:43, 28 February 2007 (UTC)
- I went ahead and pasted the box now type {{User:Acalamari/Awards giver}} on any page you like!¤~Persian Poet Gal (talk) 00:49, 28 February 2007 (UTC)
- Thank you. I will put it on my userpage. I hope I wasn't an inconvenience for you. I don't have much experience with subpages. Acalamari 00:50, 28 February 2007 (UTC)

Please, help me with the page about Cicero
[edit]Hi, Acalamari! I edited this morning the text on the lead part of the article about Cicero, and I was pretty satisfied with it. But after I had pressed the save button, the new text did not appear in the article proper!! Could you please visit the site and find out, what is the matter? Regards, --Tellervo 10:07, 28 February 2007 (UTC)
- I have myself found out what went wrong, - a reference tag! So, you need not bother.
- Regards --Tellervo 14:08, 28 February 2007 (UTC)
- I'm sorry I wasn't any help to you. At the times your posted your messages to my talk page, 10:07 UTC and 14:08 UTC, I would have been asleep. As for your problem, I checked the histroy of the Cicero page, and as you said, it was to do with a reference. Don't worry, I had to learn to make sure I made references correctly. Again, I am sorry I wasn't able to help. Acalamari 16:24, 28 February 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for the Barnstar!
[edit]Awwww, thanks! That's a very nice gesture and the poetry wasn't all that bad ;)...¤~Persian Poet Gal (talk) 17:12, 28 February 2007 (UTC)
- You're welcome. I felt that I should at least try to do something like that for you. After all, you've helped me more than I've helped you. Acalamari 17:13, 28 February 2007 (UTC)
Virus
[edit]Since getting an account on Wikipedia, my computer has caught around 130 trojan horse viruses!!! What the... Coincidence or what? Anoying coincidence, if that's what it is. Nukleoptra 17:17, 28 February 2007 (UTC)
- I would have to say it's a coincidence. I've only found the one virus on Wikipedia. If there were more viruses, I'd know about them. Having an account does not make you more prone to catching viruses. Don't you have any anti-virus software and/or a firewall? Acalamari 17:20, 28 February 2007 (UTC)
- Well, today I only got 12. Nukleoptra 16:22, 1 March 2007 (UTC)
- If the only page you've been visiting is Wikipedia, then it makes sense the viruses would come from here, but if you've been to other sites, they get thrown into the equation. Again, don't you have any anti-virus software? Acalamari 16:28, 1 March 2007 (UTC)
- I wrote that I had anti-virus software amongst other stuff in a post but my computer froze before I could click on 'save'. We have AVG free edition. Nukleoptra 16:32, 1 March 2007 (UTC)
- AVG is a good anti-virus. My family and I use the most updated version. Acalamari 16:33, 1 March 2007 (UTC)
- mine was the the most updated version until approximately 4 minutes ago, when it alerted me at the email scanner is not fully functional... we haven't even got an email account ha becuase the viruses have been occupying our time. Nukleoptra 16:40, 1 March 2007 (UTC)
- AVG is not the most trusted anti-virus around because I seemed to get more virus with AVG than without it but by far the most trusted anti-viruses around I think is Norton and/or E-trust although McAfee also gets the job done. The best thing to do is to turn on the Firewall in your computer and enable Pop-up blocker..--Cometstyles 16:52, 1 March 2007 (UTC)
- Actually, we went with AVG because we didn't trust Norton and McAfee. We did have E-trust for a while, but then it kept registering viruses that weren't there. As for firewalls, we don't use the Windows one. In fact, the Windows one itself does say that it's only a basic one, and a better type should be installed. However, I am not endorsing any type of software with this message. I, like Wikipedia, am not an advertising host. As long as we have a good firewall and a good anti-virus program, we should all be okay. Acalamari 18:59, 1 March 2007 (UTC)

Your message
[edit]Well, I don't really want to "edit constructively", mainly because this site is really really stupid, we had to do it as a project and I found the Wikipedos really irritating "please don't ruin our encyclopedia that noone reads and we edit coz we have no lives or jobs etc..." so I thought I'd mess around whilst kind of drunk and irritate you wierdo nerds :D :D, now please, you're 16, so am I, I go out drink and have sex most nights, you sit here and type in notes about pokemon and star trek, get over it!! go get a girl!! now I need to go and get on with being a WIKIPEDIAN! Vandal counter
[edit]No problem. I've been so busy it didn't even occur to me to update it. Thanks! Natalie 22:35, 1 March 2007 (UTC)
- The user that vandalized your user page also vandalized mine, and you would have seen the message they left on my talk page. I have to update my vandal counter now. Acalamari 23:16, 1 March 2007 (UTC)
Re: User.
[edit]Huh, not sure what to make of that one. Reviewed for now, since we have no way of confirming whether that actually is the person's parent (or, indeed, if they have a parent), and the autoblock could be holding back a few socks. Just my thought. – Luna Santin (talk) 00:41, 3 March 2007 (UTC)
- Well, I decided to review one of their requests for unblock. I declined it after all the edits they'd done, including vandalism to my user page. Acalamari 00:44, 3 March 2007 (UTC)
Article about me
[edit]I assure you, my name is not John Kelly, he is a hurling player that plays on the Dublin county team? Isnt that worthy of starting an article which I will continue to add to over time. BaileÁthaCliathAbú 00:54 03 March 2007
- I am not the only one tagging the article you've created. Other users don't consider your articles to be notable either. Maybe if you had some sources, then the pages could be allowed. Don't get the impression that we think you're a vandal: you have good intentions. Acalamari 01:01, 3 March 2007 (UTC)
Vandalism
[edit]Hey, no one has ever vandalized my user page--does this mean you're more popular than me? I bet it does. Or else it means you spend time in pop culture articles--it happens there, because some users are overly personally invested in their idol worship. Don't take it personally, even if you are enjoying the vandal count. And thanks for taking time in this area, as it's nice to know that a responsible and capable editor is monitoring what's going on in these heavily edited and frequently vandalized articles. Cheers, KP Botany 23:08, 3 March 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for your compliments. My user page seems to be going through a vandalism wave at the moment, as it's been hit almost daily. It wouldn't be quite so bad if it was clever vandalism as opposed to insults. However, most vandals don't think that way. Acalamari 23:12, 3 March 2007 (UTC)
- Oh please! If you ever meet a clever, interesting or original vandal, alert me. Heck, if you come in contact with one who doesn't sound like a petulent 7-year-old, tell me all about it. I won't be waiting. Cheers, KP Botany 23:16, 3 March 2007 (UTC)
- You're right: "clever vandalism" is an oxymoron. Acalamari 23:17, 3 March 2007 (UTC)

No problem. I hope that the editor that vandalized your page will go on and become a constructive, good-faith contributor, but hope is all I have regarding this. To quote the oft-repeated phrase: you must be doing something right if your user page is vandalized :) GracenotesT § 03:18, 4 March 2007 (UTC)
- Dang, this makes Acalamari even more special than me--nobody has ever protected my user page (or vandalized it). Suddenly, I feel boring! I must not be doing anything right because I've never had my user page vandalized.
- Acalamari, if you have any time to do some reading, can you add to this article Kwabena Frimpong-Boateng? There are a couple of references added to the article, but they need to have some text from them incorporated into the article, and I am way too busy right now. The doctor is rather interesting. I worked with a Kenyan doctor briefly who talked about this guy who was Ghana's first and only heart surgeon. It's interesting because in most of Sub-Saharan Africa, possibly excepting Kenya, the rich go to Europea for medical treatment--even in Kenya Europeans buy special medical insurance that pays for and provides medivacuation to Europe, or maybe the Middle East, in case of emergency. In Ghana primary care for malaria, river blindness and AIDS is hard enough for most people, but this guy is a world-class cardiac surgeon practicing in his native land. The editor who started it has been a bit of a pest adding commercial links to other articles (ethnobotanical plants), but the links in this article are good references and the doctor is rather fascinating and deserves a delete-proof article. I did add the proper categories. Cheers. KP Botany 03:24, 4 March 2007 (UTC)
- Sure, I'll take a look at that page. I'll try to do some work to it over the next few days for you, after all, you helped me with the LAX (group) article. I would do a bunch of work on it tomorrow, but I am on Dial-Up until Monday, so my edits are somewhat restricted. Acalamari 04:08, 4 March 2007 (UTC)
- I haven't added any things yet, but I did change the sections around a bit. The "media" section became "external links." I will do more. Acalamari 04:14, 4 March 2007 (UTC)
- Oh, yeah, I'm totally lousy at all the details. Take your time, though, and wait for high-speed. The guy could have a rather well-written article about him eventually. KP Botany 05:24, 4 March 2007 (UTC)

Hi Acalmari. Please read WP:U. In future, any entires made to WP:RFCN reporting user names where the guidelines are not followed will be removed. You made no attempt to ask the user to change his name, instead going straight to RFC. This is not fair to the user, please don't do it again. Neil (not Proto ►) 16:09, 6 March 2007 (UTC)
- I did tell the user. I was told to use the tags. What guideline am I not following now? Acalamari 16:18, 6 March 2007 (UTC)
- I belive that he may have made a mistake (while I am not saying that he did, i have asked him to clarify what you have done wrong). -- Chrislk02 (Chris Kreider) 16:30, 6 March 2007 (UTC)
- Hi Acalamari. You did indeed use tags. But if you read the top of the page, you're asked to ask the user, nicely, if he would mind changing his username. There's even a template for it - {{UsernameConcern}}. You shouldn't just tell them they have to change their name and submit it immediately to RFCN; we always try and be friendly and helpful, especially to the newest editors, who may not be aware what is and is not acceptable, so we ask them to change it, first.
- And I'm not picking on you in particular for his - I often just remove the RFCNs if nobody made an effort to ask the user to change their name first. I noticed you did mention Betacommand "getting away with it" - there were plenty of people who asked him to change how he was handling user names, and I was just one of them. Neil (not Proto ►) 17:47, 6 March 2007 (UTC)
- Okay, I understand. Acalamari 17:49, 6 March 2007 (UTC)

Accounts in my name
[edit]Take a look at Wikipedia:Request an account. Basically, what's going on is that users who cannot read the captcha when signing up for an account have to use this page, where another user can create the account for them, and e-mail them the password. Those log entries you saw are the accounts that I have created for these people through that process. Tra (Talk) 00:06, 7 March 2007 (UTC)
- Okay, that's what they were. I didn't know; thanks for clearing that up. Acalamari 00:08, 7 March 2007 (UTC)

Good work. I did some translations into English terminology, added a redirect for House officer on Wikipedia to Residency (medicine)--I'm getting braver creating pages. I don't think there is any worry now about AfD. I'll keep adding as I get the time, let me know when you add something, as you did. KP Botany 04:00, 8 March 2007 (UTC)

Why did you revert my edit to the Michael Richards page?
[edit]From Wikipedia:Lead Section: The lead should be capable of standing alone as a concise overview of the article, establishing context, explaining why the subject is interesting or notable, and BRIEFLY DESCRIBING ITS NOTEABLE CONTROVERSIES, if there are any.
As you can see my edit was not vandalism.Hoponpop69 15:16, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
- Your edits have also been undone by Bus Stop. It's uneccessary to say the same thing twice about the incident. Anyway, most people are past the incident now. Acalamari 16:16, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
Look at pages like Kobe Bryant, they mention his controversey in the intro, and most people are beyond that. Also if you're saying that we shouldn't mention things twice then you might as well take out the thing about him being on Seinfield in the opening paragraph since that is also mentioned later in the article.Hoponpop69 20:11, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
- Your edit was not vandalism. Yes, I should have assumed better faith when I removed it, but due to the controverisal nature of the topic, it was better to discuss it first. Acalamari 21:22, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
About the autograph pages
[edit]Is there anything wrong with autograph pages? I really don't think so. I KNOW so. But the main problem with this is the huge "sign my book" on users' signatures, and the spamming of talk pages. THAT is the REAL problem, right? If it is, then just make a rule on the Wikipedia:Signatures page that no one can include disruptive links to their signature pages, if they have any. Would that solve the problem? Please respond, and please do not delete the autograph pages themselves. Many, many users have worked hard on them, especially AxG. A•N•N•Afoxlover 00:17, 10 March 2007 (UTC)
- I personally don't think the autograph pages are appropriate for Wikipedia; but I only speak for one user: myself. If I was administrator, I would not delete any of the autograph pages, including yours. There are two reasons why I wouldn't delete them: 1: I would be seriously questioned for such an action; and two: I'm not going to root through millions of users just to find autograph pages. Anyway, from what I've seen, you have nothing to worry about with your autograph page: the MFD will likely close as no consensus or allow; meaning that your signatures, and everyone else's, will remain intact. I agree with you about removing the "sign my book" link on some users' signatures if the books remain; we can do without links to user subpages in signatures. By the way, I also wish to apologize if I've been hostile to you in any way over this entire incident. Acalamari 00:27, 10 March 2007 (UTC)
- Not really. But I would like you to post what we've discussed on the MfD entry. I would also like to know if we can make the main point of the discussion on NOT PUTTING A DISRUPTIVE LINK TO YOUR AUTOGRAPH PAGE ON YOUR SIGNATURE. Can we do that? And should I ask the users who have these disruptive links on their signatures to remove them from their signatures? Please respond. Thanks - A•N•N•Afoxlover 00:55, 10 March 2007 (UTC)
- The content of my user talk page does not belong on the MfD. If other users want to see what we've discussed, they can come here. As for changing the main point of the MfD; that cannot be done. The main point of the MfD is to discuss whether the autograph books should be deleted or not; it isn't about actual signatures. As for users who have the links in their signatures; you don't have to tell them anything: they will be informed if a new policy comes along that says that users cannot have links to their subpages in their signatures. :) Acalamari 01:02, 10 March 2007 (UTC)
- Then, what do we do, when hundreds of autograph pages are in danger right now? We need to do something. Should someone ask some users to engage in this discussion? What should we do? I want to save the autograph pages, get rid of the spamming, and no more disruptive links in the signatures? What can we do NOW? A•N•N•Afoxlover 01:07, 10 March 2007 (UTC)
- Asking users to engage in the MFD discussion would be considered spamming. You say you want to get rid of spamming, but if you or I went to the talk pages of all the users with autograph books asking them to participate, that would be spamming. As for saving the autograph books, you can do that if you want; but remember: Wikipedia is not just about autograph pages. I learned early on that Wikipedia isn't just about user and user talk pages; we're here to improve the encyclopedia, not to make lots of autograph pages. Acalamari 02:45, 10 March 2007 (UTC)
- But how do I save the pages, get rid of the spamming, and ban the disruptive signatures? A•N•N•Afoxlover 15:14, 10 March 2007 (UTC)
- What do you mean by "save the pages"? The fate of the page is being decided at Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/Autograph books. As for spamming, as far as I know, you're the only user to ask well over a hundred user to sign a signature book. As for the signatures...a new policy would have to be suggested to eliminate the fancy spamming signatures. I could suggest the policy myself, but I am busy with suggesting another policy at the moment. Acalamari 20:11, 10 March 2007 (UTC)
- I've quit spamming talk pages. Don't worry. Anyway, I guess I'll try to presuade people not to delete the pages, if I can. Thanks for the advice you have given me. Bye! ;-) A•N•N•Afoxlover 03:41, 11 March 2007 (UTC)

It made GA rather quickly. Duh. And thanks to you, me, JeffPW and Mr. Darcy, in spite of the thankless nature of the task. I'm rather pleased with the article. KP Botany 03:41, 10 March 2007 (UTC)
- Well, I hadn't done anything to the article until a few hours ago. Even so, I am pleased that an article I worked on early in it's creation has now become a good article. :) Acalamari 03:45, 10 March 2007 (UTC)
Rfa thanks
[edit]Hey Acalamari, cheers for the support in my Rfa, I'm so honoured to be an administrator, it just shows that friends like you stick by you. No doubt we'll be seeing you up at Rfa before too long! Thanks again and no doubt I'll see you at WP:RFCN again soon! Ryanpostlethwaite contribs/talk 21:37, 10 March 2007 (UTC)
- You're welcome. As for my own RfA, that probably won't happen for another month or two, depending on what happens. I've got about 3900 edits at the moment, and I won't attempt adminship until I'm at a figure of at least 5000 edits. Also, I want to get more mainspace edits (I have about 1650 I think), and more experience on Wikipedia-pages. As for RFC, I'll be there; I just won't be reporting as many user names as I used to, but I'll still give input for other users who report names there. Acalamari 21:43, 10 March 2007 (UTC)
- 3900 is enough edits for RfA and if you ever think about applying..tell me cause I want to be the first to support you. We need new good admins like Ryanpostlethwaite and you are my top bet..Cheers..--Cometstyles 13:05, 11 March 2007 (UTC)
- I thank you for your support, but I'd like to wait a bit. Adminship isn't just about edits, and there are some things I want to work on first. Acalamari 16:23, 11 March 2007 (UTC)

Warning removals
[edit]Thank you for doing the work of writing the proposed policy. It's valuable to have it decided one way or another what the rules are, to avoid pointless edit wars. --Coppertwig 22:55, 10 March 2007 (UTC)
- Well...um...you're welcome! I decided to write the policy the way I did because I thought it would cover the problems. Everyone is welcome to suggest additions to the proposal. Acalamari 00:35, 11 March 2007 (UTC)
Mootoog and their lawyer
[edit]I agree - something weird is definitely going on here. Natalie 20:27, 12 March 2007 (UTC)
I know this is old, but I have just noticed this now. Allow me to shed some light on the whole me and my lawyer thing. When I started out, I was doing a caveman act (I sometimes still do). So therefore, I had to come up with a way to communicate correctly, so when I needed people to understand easily, I signed as "Mootoog's Lawyer" and said it was a translation. (Note that I did not create another account, and any edits done by me and signed by "Mootoog's lawyer" were done on my account.) Then someone/some people became unhappy with me for some reason, and decided to start constant vandalism of my pages. Eventually, after they had been banned on a few accounts, it seems that they noticed that I signed as 'Mootoog's lawyer' sometimes, and then created a user named "Mootoogs Lawyer" (now banned, I think), and used that to vandalise me, and at the same time, to give me a bad name or to fool others into thinking it was just me being stupid (at least I think so, if I could read minds I would be more accurate). This user was NOT me, I only edit from this account. Hope that clears a few things up and sorry if this annoys you in any way. -Mootoog 05:24, 14 July 2007 (UTC)
You made a WP:AIV report on this user's username. Please see this in WP:UN: "Usernames partly comprised of these terms are not always necessarily prohibited but may be subject to review.". They are not claiming to be Christ, nor saying anything particularly inflammatory. You may take this to WP:RFCN if you dispute this. —dgiestc 23:19, 12 March 2007 (UTC)
- I will take it there then. Acalamari 23:20, 12 March 2007 (UTC)
User:Kalifco
[edit]Thank you for your interception of this vandal. I've added them back to AIV. Some of their early edits appeared plausible, but I've reverted several unlikely statements that had no supporting references. Maybe someone could review them: Kalifco Contributions. -- MightyWarrior 23:24, 12 March 2007 (UTC)
- Sure I'll take a look. I'm glad I removed the listing; I looked at your user page, saw what anti-vandalism things you were part of; checked your contributions, and saw that you weren't a vandal at all. Acalamari 23:26, 12 March 2007 (UTC)
Acalamari, your a great user to WP:RFCN and no-one is assuming bad faith at all, its just best not to report anything that could possibly be seen as dubious to AIV. You better keep reporting those usernames, most of your nominations go the way you suggested, and the ones that don't - it doesn't matter because its easily sorted. This is no way going to go against you at Rfa, it shows you care about wikipedia and want to do well for the project. Disregarding your nominations completely, your response to other nominations is excellent, and your a very thorough editor when it comes to looking at username. Don't let this dishearten you mate, everyone knows your doing a great job Ryanpostlethwaite contribs/talk 23:51, 12 March 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for the comforting reply. I just thought that in an RfA, users would review my contributions to RFCN, and worry that I would block innocent users (which, I wouldn't do; administrator or not: I would still request comment on names). Acalamari 23:56, 12 March 2007 (UTC)
- Not at all, you really don't need to worry about that, I mean, I nominated the admin User:Kontstable for their username 6 weeks ago - and I passed Rfa!! Your excellent contributions to other areas are going to be looked at anyway. I know you wouldn't block innocent users, you'd report to WP:RFCN if there was any doubt - and other users know that as well Ryanpostlethwaite contribs/talk 00:01, 13 March 2007 (UTC)
- (There is an admin with a very similar username, butI can't find it so soz for the red link!) Ryanpostlethwaite contribs/talk 00:02, 13 March 2007 (UTC)

You said: "You're going to love this; this user was the Kate McAuliffe vandal, as demonstrated with this edit. As that user has easily seen my name now, I'd better check the user list a bit more often."
- You know, it's possible that Kate McAuliffe is a super-hot, wonderfully smart, witty sweetheart. Okay, I doubt it, and I have some concerns about how her affection is expressed (though quite likely not by her), but hey. --Yamla 01:57, 14 March 2007 (UTC)
- I find it weird that this person is obsessed with Kate McAuliffe; whoever she is. I've seen strange usernames like "Yamla has a crush on Kate McAuliffe" and "Ryulong has a crush on Kate McAuliffe." Acalamari 02:46, 14 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit]Just a reminder, when you leave warning templates on user talk pages, please use the substitution (subst:) e.g. {{subst:uw-test2}}. You can find out more about templates here: WP:UTM. Those were not Spam Links!
[edit]Hi
Those links were not advertisements. They have been apart of the Charlotte NC entry for a long time.
None of them go to sites where you can buy anything. They are all useful and relevant information that expand on topics not covered in the entry. Many are public utility sites that are FREE!
I live here, and KNOW THIS. YOU DO NOT!
Do not edit cities you know nothing about. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 24.172.118.10 (talk) 01:04, 15 March 2007 (UTC).

[edit]Hey, Acalamari, I saw your name next to a quote that she had on her user page.. "Don't put anything on Jimbo's talk page. Acalamari" And, I looked on the talk page, and you NEVER said that, you merely said to only use Mr. Wales' talk page in only some occasions.. I wanted to bring this to you first, and you can choose to bring it up to Anna if you wish.. By the way, your actual quote: "It's best to only use Mr. Jimbo Wales' talk page in special circumstances. The first time I posted to his talk page was close to a month ago when I asked about a reporter. I thought the situation required his attention, as it was to do with the press; Mr. Wales quickly and calmly resolved the situation for me. You see, his talk page should really only be used for very unusual, or immensely large events. Acalamari 00:53, 10 March 2007 (UTC)" If you need to reach me, please reply on my talk page :) . Have a nice day! Illyria05 (Talk • Contributions) 01:37, 15 March 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for telling me. I'm going to ask her about this; I gave her advice, and she does that. Did you read the discussion she and I had here? That's the advice I gave her. Acalamari 01:43, 15 March 2007 (UTC)
- Oh, oops, no, I did not see that.. I did read it just now though.. Anyway, when you bring it up to her, may I suggest you bring into debate the other quotes she has on her userpage, those could be 'mis-interpreted' as well (trying to assume good faith).. Illyria05 (Talk • Contributions) 01:48, 15 March 2007 (UTC)
Re: Alison's RfA
[edit]Oh okay, thanks for letting me know. I know there was no bad faith on your behalf, there was absolutely no doubt in my mind about that whatsoever. I just meant that was how it could seem, especially from the POV of the person being quized, but I know 100% you were both acting in good faith. Cheers, Sarah 15:48, 15 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit]for reverting vandalism on my userpage! Natalie 18:09, 15 March 2007 (UTC)
