[edit]There was absolutely no reason to delete the Article on John "Skipper" Norris. You claimed that it was "nonsense," but how do you know? I could be John norris, telling the sad tale of my life. (Hint Hint) You're nonsense. You should google me. I'm notable. You, however, are not.

[edit]Who do you think you are? Do you think anyone really cares if you were on some TV nerd program? I can't believe you deleted our contribution? IT clearly stated where the phrase came from and if you like it or not, people do use slang and other stupider people like to look up the meaning and where it came from. Obviously you have no life, but seriously - it wasn't nonsense. Thanks for trying to trash our trend. Oh... and stick that up your monash!

Trigger Happy
[edit]Dear Administrator: I, like you, am an editor; I create articles and make edits. But, many, I am sure many other people out there, are tired, frustrated and angry with the behavior of many Administrators. I am certain that it is appallingly easy to revert and article, that someone has undoubtedly spent allot of time and effort writing. I have, in the past spent hours, researching, planning, writing, checking and revising an addition to an article only to have the whole lot deleted forever three minutes afterwards.
I know that deletion of material is essential in a free-to-edit encyclopedia, but if you see an article that someone has anonymously devoted their time to writing, why could you not revise it, change it or give a reason for you action? They deserve one.
I know all Administrators are not all Drunk-With- Power-Trigger-Happy-Nazis, many of you do an excellent job and you know who you are. The world owes you. I owe You.
In closing: Create, don’t Destroy. Make a distinction between “what is right, and what is easy”. Be enriched, and enrich others with the knowledge of other people.
And keep that finger off the trigger.

User page vandalism
[edit]Hi Academic Challenger. I wanted to let you know that I reverted some vandalism on your user page [1] (twice, actually [2]). I wanted to let you know in case the first case I linked was actually a valid attempt to leave you some sort of message. Talk to you later. :o) EWS23 | (Leave me a message!) 20:21, 1 May 2006 (UTC)
- Hey, I reverted some more vandalism on your user page. [3] Feel free to revert me if you'd like to keep this. Truce Breaking
[edit]As you might recall from a couple weeks ago , we had made a truce It stated "*4. Don't delete Kaleb Marshall's article or the Le Crap article" Yet, when I went to the discussion page for deleting the Le Crap article, I saw this written on it "If Wikipedia existed in the early twentieth century and you posted an article about Picaso before he became famous, or if anyone else did, it should have been deleted because it is impossible tl tell for sure who will be a famous artist or musician. Someone would eventually notice this article, and only good articles should be in Wikipedia. Academic Challenger 21:53, 1 April 2006 (UTC)". Not only did you complain about the LE Crap Article, but it was deleted. Unless you can prove to me that the deleter was not you, I am not doing my share of the truce. 1028 00:48, 2 May 2006 (UTC)

Hi, AC. There's a recent thread about User:1028 on WP:AN under the heading "'Governor' cruft". After taking a look at his talkpage, and then at yours, I thought you might care to share your experiences of this user on AN. Hey AC, just wanted to point out that Dolgeville, New York has been fully protected for 11 days. California WikiProjects
[edit]As a California Wikipedian, you may be interested in the California WikiProject (and/or one of its 'daughter' Wikiprojects on Southern California, Santa Barbara County, California State Highways and California County Routes). Please take a look at the WikiProject to see if there is anything that interests you. If you have any comments or questions, feel free to contact me. If enough people express an interest, it would also be very easy to create additional daughter WikiProjects, such as a Northern California WikiProject or a California Politics WikiProject.
It has also more than seven months since the 2nd Los Angeles area Wikipedia meetup ([ 26 September]] 2005), so it is time for another one. There have also been California meetups in San Diego (18 October 2005) and a very small one in Santa Barbara (8 April 2006. Deletion of John Bradley (mathmetician/teacher)
[edit]My article on John Bradley was not nonsense. Alright, so maaaaaybe it was not all fact, but the majority of it was. What I don't understand is that you just delete articles without thought that maybe, just maybe the only people who would view that page would be people who know him, mainly his students. It was a joke, but I thought he deserved to have his name and story imortalized on wikipedia. It was not like any other person outside of my school would wikisearch John Bradley. Even if anyone did, it would probably as a joke like many people when they are bored search their names. To have a story like that come up would be sweeeeeeet. I just think maybe you should spend less time on the computer, and more time outside in the sunwith friends if you still have any left (not virtual friends btw). In closing, I think you're a little harsh when it comes to instant deletion. I think you are a little power hungry and abuse your power and don't give people the benefit of the doubt. At least send someone a warning before you delete their page and give them a chance to explain. Not like a brand new article on something like John Bradley will destroy the internet. Calm down and let lose. Reach that inner child of yours and have some fun...lighten up paley. - Unsigned

Hernando de Soto disambiguation page...
[edit]I think a disambiguation page for Hernando de Soto is reasonable. I was unable to find the wikipedia page on the (living) de Soto when I searched for it. My edits to Ready to Die
[edit]I think you mislabeled a legitimate edit as vandalism...I was attempting to remove the censorship in the article; the song 'Fuck Me' by the Notorious B.I.G. was called #$!@ Me or something to that effect. If I recall correctly, there is a Wikipedia policy that states that Wikipedia is not censored. Calling the song '#$!@ Me' is not factually correct, and some users may not recognize the allusion to ####. It could be misconstrued as any other four letter 'curse' word. 24.80.64.55 04:29, 10 June 2006 (UTC)

Bihar categories
[edit]Categories with red links does not mean they are non-existent. The red link simply means an introduction to the category was not entered. Category:Bihar is a top level category, if it is added all pages, it will become too full. It is preferable to split it into multiple categories such as Bihar people and Bihar politics. I put added the top level cat to the Bihar people and Bihar politics categories. Let me know if you have any questions. - Ganeshk (talk) 22:17, 20 June 2006 (UTC)
- Same with your edit on Tarun Kumar Gogoi. Putting everything under Category:Assam will not be useful. Sub categories really help keep everything sorted properly. Hope you understand. - Ganeshk (talk) 15:30, 21 June 2006 (UTC)
- I saw this done in Category: Kerala politics. It would be good to follow the same in other states too. For each state, we should have [[Category: <State Name> politics]]. That category should be sub-categorized under [[Category: <State Name>]] so that red link does not appear. Hope that explains. - 20:57, 21 June 2006 (UTC)
- For politicians who are not part of the sub-category, change them to be part of sub-category. It will intially show up as red link, but when you add the parent category to the sub-cat, it will become regular color. As I said before, Don't worry about red links on categories. All that matters if that the category contains pages. - Ganeshk (talk) 20:59, 21 June 2006 (UTC)

A short Esperanzial update
[edit]As you may have gathered, discussions have been raging for about a week on the Esperanza talk page as to the future direction of Esperanza. Some of these are still ongoing and warrant more input (such as the idea to scrap the members list altogether). However, some decisions have been made and the charter has hence been amended. See what happened. Basically, the whole leadership has had a reshuffle, so please review the new, improved charter.
As a result, we are electing 4 people this month. They will replace JoanneB and Pschemp and form a new tranche A, serving until December. Elections will begin on 2006-07-02 and last until 2006-07-09. If you wish to run for a Council position, add your name to the list before 2006-07-02. For more details, see Wikipedia:Esperanza/June 2006 elections.

[edit]I must take issue with your summary CSD A8 deletions of articles about Master Chief Petty Officers of the Navy. The reason is, quite simply, that U.S. Navy materials are not copyrighted, as the Navy is an agency of the U.S. Federal Government, which as you know does not retain copyright under U.S. law. Presumtively, the materials came from the Navy itself. I must take issue further with the fact you made no attempt to communicate with the creator of these things, which was an awful WP:BITING.
