- Don't be afraid to edit! Just find something that can be improved and make it better. Other editors will help fix any mistakes you make.
- It's normal to feel a little overwhelmed, but don't worry if you don't understand everything at first—it's fine to edit using common sense.
- If an edit you make is reverted, you can discuss the issue at the article's talk page. Sign your messages with four tildes (~~~~), be civil, and don't restore the edit unless there is consensus.
- When adding new content to an article, always include a citation to a reliable source.
- If you wish to edit about a subject with which you are affiliated, read our conflict of interest guide and disclose your connection.
- Have fun! Your presence in the Wikipedia community is welcome.

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions. I am glad to see that you are discussing a topic. However, as a general rule, talk pages (including user talk pages) such as Talk:Battle of Jericho are for discussion related to improving the article in specific ways based on reliable sources and Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. They are not for general discussion about the article topic or unrelated topics, or statements based on your thoughts or feelings. If you have specific questions about certain topics, consider visiting our reference desk and asking them there instead of on article talk pages. This refers to your response to a 2015 post which I’ve also removed. Doug Weller talk 20:33, 9 May 2022 (UTC)
- Understood. That is why I rarely contribute to Wikipedia because of the overwhelming liberal / anti-christian bias. For instance in the exact same page a user refereed to archaeologist Bryant G. Wood as "WP:FRINGE. Nobody in mainstream archaeology takes him seriously." And apparently that is a perfectly fine comment because he supports the traditional biblical dating. But that is what I expect. AbrmJoseph (talk) 21:23, 9 May 2022 (UTC)
