Just read this article for the first time. There were two points made that stood out for me as being somewhat misleading:
a) It is not normal for anyone to be interrupted in a regular meeting when talking (sharing). Although the writer of the piece cited may have found that scenario somewhere, somewhen, I think that is not a "typical" meeting format. I speak from experience in this and other programs.
b) Although there may be only one official "text" (Currency of Hope) there are numerous pamphlets that have been created by and for the fellowship. Also, all AA literature is "endorsed" / "acceptable" for use in the DA / BDA program. Although again, somewhere / somewhen the objection about lack of literature may have been an issue, I think that the article as structured is misleading in that area as well.
