Sockpuppet investigation
[edit]An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Raman Research Institute, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community.

Your recent editing history at Raman Research Institute shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See the bold, revert, discuss cycle for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.
Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. [edit]Please do not add or change content, as you did at Raman Research Institute, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. —Wasell(T) 11:45, 29 January 2022 (UTC)
Blocked
[edit]Abigail, you are not permitted to request edits of articles while you are blocked. If you wish to appeal your block, see WP:GAB. You are also permitted to discuss why you should be unblocked without appealing. Anything else is prohibited.--Bbb23 (talk) 14:24, 31 January 2022 (UTC)
Apologies for using the official institute login(Raman Research Institute) and later my personal login (Abigailrri) , I was not aware about the prohibition of using two accounts to make the edits. I did not read through the guidelines prior to making the edits.
I can assure you, the edits made through the institute (Raman Research Institute) as well as through (Abigailrri), was not to override the edits by Wikipedia without permission. I was not aware about the blunders made until now while reading through the guidelines.
Please guide me as to what is to be done next in order to be unblocked and suggest any edits.
Requesting you to please unblock my IP address and both my log in ID's, The errors occurred including the war edit wont happen again , I did'nt realise that wikipedia was reverting the edits initially. Until I saw the view history. Initially I was under the impression that there was an error occurring on my part as to why the edits were reverting back. Only when the authorities went to check the Wikipedia page in order to share the same, is when it was brought to my notice. After which I understood what the talk page meant.
It is my humble request to unblock the accounts.

It is my humble request to unblock the accounts. I am putting forth the same request via the official account, "Raman Research Institute" Abigailrri (talk) 05:39, 4 February 2022 (UTC) The edits suggested is an important update from the institution, with the new director in-charge. To confirm the authenticity of the same, the institutes website may be used as a reference. All I am ,is requesting you to please give me a second chance from the institutes login to "suggest" the edits, once unblocked. The same may be reviewed by Wikipedia prior to confirming the publication of the same. Abigailrri (talk) 05:55, 4 February 2022 (UTC)
Decline reason:
Based on your edits I am unwilling to unblock you even to suggest edits, if those suggestions are like your edits. Wikipedia is not interested in what an article subject wants to say about itself, only in what others unconnected with the subject choose on their own to say about it. If certain factual information is in error, we can address that, but you seem to want to do a lot more than that. Usually in this situation we want to see the contributor demonstrate edits in other areas to establish that they are aware of the relevant Wikipedia content guidelines. If you don't wish to be a general contributor and edit in other areas, you will need to show this knowledge in another way. 331dot (talk) 09:46, 4 February 2022 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
Is there anything you want to edit about other than the Institute? 331dot (talk) 09:08, 4 February 2022 (UTC)
331dot As of now , only edits on the Raman Research Institute Wikipedia page. Abigailrri (talk) 09:28, 4 February 2022 (UTC)
331dot , The edits that were initiated on the Raman Research Institute Wikipedia page is due to some incorrect information currently. A new director has been appointed, Prof. Tarun Souradeep, while the name that still features on the page is that of S. Sridhar who retired in the year 2020. Requesting you to please unblock and let me suggest the required edits for the information on the page. Abigailrri (talk) 09:46, 4 February 2022 (UTC)
331dot Suggesting a change in the name of the director. Requesting this one major edit for now. The current one that features on the page retired in 2020. A new director has been appointed, I assure . Wont suggest a whole edit apart from the change in the directors name.Abigailrri (talk) 09:50, 4 February 2022 (UTC)
- I must step away for a bit, please make another unblock request for someone else to review. 331dot (talk) 09:51, 4 February 2022 (UTC)

There is an error in the factual information ,the name of the director. The current Directors name that features on the page retired. A new director has been appointed. I assure, I Wont suggest a whole edit apart from the change in the directors name. If found to do so and I may be blocked. Hoping you will consider my appeal and my suggested change.Abigailrri (talk) 10:42, 4 February 2022 (UTC)

This does not add anything meaningful over your earlier unblock request. Yamla (talk) 14:03, 4 February 2022 (UTC)
