Thank you for your interest in meta:Wikimedia Medicine. We hope to create a non profit corporation to promote the aims of the Wikimedia Movement within the topic domain of medicine. This means we plan to promote the creation and release of "health care information in all languages" under an open license. This will be done primarily via speaking and collaborating with both individuals and organizations who share our goal. We are working on a number of collaborations already and are open to more ideas. Documents of incorporation have been submitted and we hope to be officially "off the ground" by mid Dec 2012. Volunteering on simple

[edit]

Hi Abhi! Just letting you know that I've left you a message on your talk page at simple.wiki about getting started. If you're not likely to check in very often you might want to enable email notifications in your preferences so you can keep up to date if something happens. Thanks,Osiris (talk) 05:34, 7 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

EduWiki Conference 5-6 September in Leicester, UK

[edit]

I am writing to you as you have signed up to the Education Meetup at Wikimania 2012 and perhaps are interested in how Wikipedia links to education. Wikimedia UK is now running a education related event that may be of interest to you: the EduWiki Conference on 5-6 September in Leicester. This event will be looking at Wikipedia and related charitable projects in terms of educational practice, including good faith collaboration, open review, and global participation. It's a chance to talk about innovative work in your institution or online community, and shape the future of Wikimedia UK's work in this area!

The conference will be of interest to educators, scholarly societies members, contributors to Wikipedia and other open education projects, and students.

For details please visit the UK Chapter Wiki.

Please feel welcome to register or promote within your network.

Wiki Club Pune table

[edit]

Hey Abhishek,

I see you've been going around talk pages and sending out invites for Wiki Club Pune, but there is a small problem in the coding that you are using while creating the table. You are forgetting to close the table.

Just put |} when you have finished the table. A small but very irritating issue.

Cheers, --Debastein (talk) 18:01, 19 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • Thanks for notice! |)

Move to outreach Wiki

[edit]

Abhi, you need to move the Club project to Outreach Wiki as already one community member has objected. The next step would be a deletion request which would be very undesirable. AshLin (talk) 04:34, 21 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I recommend you do this earliest. AshLin (talk) 10:40, 22 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Please have a look at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Wikipedia_Club_at_Berkeley AbhiSuryawanshi (talk) 10:57, 22 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
That club's being on Wikipedia space does not justify your outreach activity being on Wikipedia space. As such you are an Outreach activity with a Wikipedia specifically provided for that purpose. Already someone has objected to it. My advice is to move. You may like to take the advice or not, that is your lookout. AshLin (talk) 17:47, 22 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

    • Outreach is one (of the) Club Activity. It involved editing majorly.
    • Other "all" Wikipedia Club's pages are present on En Wiki as well as Outreach. We are not starting something new. As per objections concerned,I will clarify confusions asap.
    • Having Club's Project Page on English Wikipedia Project space is important. (To keep track of English Edits and number of students registered during WikiAcademie's etc)
Thank you so much for Advice :) Hope to see you soon! :) AbhiSuryawanshi (talk) 18:07, 22 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Pune Club

[edit]

Hey, thanks for asking me to be a mentor for GU WP, though I haven't contributed much over there, I am still in process to contribute more and more. I have some concerns regarding who would like to be a part of GU WP in Pune ?? Do we have Gujarati crowd, passionate enough about to contribute to Wikipedia? Am ready to help them or anyone. Logo Batch

[edit]

Just like there is a logo for Wikipedia India education program, we need to create one for Pune logo. It would certify on every userpage, "This user is a member of Wiki Pune Club". Abhinav619 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 05:51, 9 January 2012 (UTC).[reply]

Hi

[edit]

Hi Abhishek. I am excited to be at Wikipedia Club Pune. Great going so far! --BPositive (talk) 06:55, 15 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Abhishek. I notice that you blanked Wikipedia talk:Wikipedia Club Pune to start a new version. However, this page is in Wikipedia space, not personal user space. Comments from other editors and previous discussion on these pages should never be simply deleted like that. SeeWikipedia:Talk page guidelines for more. What you need to do is archive the older version, i.e. this one. You can find out how to do this at Help:Archiving a talk page. Best wishes,Voceditenore (talk) 17:54, 21 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • Thank you so much for guiding me. I have restored previous version.I will archieve discussions, and will update with newer updates. Thank you so much for clarifying. I will do needful. Keep Suggesting, Keep Inspiring! AbhiSuryawanshi (talk) 18:10, 21 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • I had a look at what you were trying to do with the new version of the page, and it seems to pertain to membership lists and topics the club would like to work on? If so, the best thing to do would be to have special project sub-pages for those rather than using the talk page. You need to retain a discussion page for other Wikipedians to be able to discuss things with the club and for general club discussion as well. I'd suggest you create:
Wikipedia:Wikipedia Club Pune/Members and mentors
and
Wikipedia:Wikipedia Club Pune/Topics
Then link to them from Wikipedia:Wikipedia Club Pune and maybe put the links on Wikipedia talk:Wikipedia Club Pune as well. Best,Voceditenore (talk) 19:03, 21 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
