Re: Verifiability versus truth
[edit]Hello AberforthD. Don't get me wrong -- I would love to add in Timothy Bateson, as well as a bunch of other people on that Yahoo! list (such as Phineas [presumably Nigellus], the random person named Bob, and the TV Weatherman), so that Wikipedia can be complete. However, this so-called comprehensive list also has some notable absences which have been confirmed: the young versions of James Potter, Lily Evans, the rest of the Marauders, and Snape (note that these characters are on Wikipedia's list). It seems that this list originated from one place, has now been passed around and, looking official (because of those random Death Eater actors who we definitely had not heard about before), was placed on Yahoo! -- or maybe it even originated on Yahoo!. In any case, I can't take it as complete as it's not, and as official word, that is, in a press release from Warner Bros. or in a statement they made to a fan site, or by the actor him or herself, we can't cite it. Sorry for being rather nitpicky, but I would really like to wait until the definite thumbs-up. And after all, that's only about 4 more days at most. --Fbv65edel / ☑t / ☛c || 01:45, 8 July 2007 (UTC)
- Hmm, it might mess up the cast tables, but I guess I'd be okay with it in the "casting" section (right below the cast tables), as long as it's attributed to the Yahoo! source. I really don't care much anymore, as we won't have to worry about it in four days; this was largely an issue about a week and a half ago when there was no such Yahoo! list at the time and people were getting this out of rumours that had come through the grapevine. :) --Fbv65edel / ☑t / ☛c || 02:13, 8 July 2007 (UTC)
