Speedy deletion nomination of Bertrand Motorsports
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Bertrand Motorsports requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Speedy deletion nomination of Bertrand Motorsports

A tag has been placed on Bertrand Motorsports requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.
If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}}

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from Bertrand Motorsports, a page you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, you can place a {{hangon}} tag on the page, under the existing speedy deletion tag (please do not remove the speedy deletion tag), and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. TheRealFennShysa (talk) 18:58, 1 March 2011 (UTC)
Please stop removing speedy deletion notices from pages that you have created yourself, as you did with Bertrand Motorsports. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. TheRealFennShysa (talk) 19:08, 1 March 2011 (UTC)

Do you work for wiki or just go around trying to delete pages you dislike? I didn't realize there was going to be trolls going around on wiki who try to get pages deleted ect. If the work is cited its not copy right infringement. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Abercrombieco2 (talk • contribs) 18:52, 1 March 2011 (UTC)
- There are people who do go around patrolling the wiki. They don't delete pages just because they don't like them but because there are legitimate problems with the articles that will not be resolved by further editing. See WP:CSD for reasons why such articles get removed from Wikipedia. —Tom Morris (talk) 19:18, 1 March 2011 (UTC)
- I still have the right to give my opinion on this matter--Abercrombieco2 (talk) 19:32, 1 March 2011 (UTC)
Copyright?
[edit]Please do not copy and paste from copyrighted websites – only public domain resources can be copied without permission. < it was copied from a public site that allows other sites to use. Its not a copyright issue just the issue even being brought up they should be banned from trying to delete pages. Get your facts strait. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Abercrombieco2 (talk • contribs) 19:14, 1 March 2011 (UTC)
- The fact that was something was copied "from a public site that allows other sites to use" is not enough for Wikipedia. The policies of Wikipedia are quite clear regarding copyright. If something is legitimately out-of-copyright, you need to present more than just your word to demonstrate it. —Tom Morris (talk) 19:18, 1 March 2011 (UTC)
- http://yankeeracer.com/2008/04/13/emotional-speedbowl-win-for-cabral/#more-1178 < there proof it is used on other sites. I know what copyright infringement is , and it would be one thing if there was no sources or credit given. --Abercrombieco2 (talk) 19:29, 1 March 2011 (UTC)
- Please see Wikipedia:Copy-paste - if you do not have explicit permissions to copy the material, we cannot use it. --Jezebel'sPonyobons mots 19:40, 1 March 2011 (UTC)
Please do not attack other editors, as you did here: User talk:TheRealFennShysa. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. —Tom Morris (talk) 19:45, 1 March 2011 (UTC)
Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, you are reminded not to attack other editors, as you did on User talk:TheRealFennShysa. Please comment on the contributions and not the contributors. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. You are welcome to rephrase your comment as a civil criticism of the article. Thank you. Jojhutton (talk) 19:46, 1 March 2011 (UTC)
- i can't belive it , the page i worked hard on is deleted. wtf, reallY? TheRealFennShysa let me put this non offensively as i can , going around on wiki and editing pages isn't a real job.
- The page was deleted as a blatant copyright violation. Wikipedia cannot host copyrighted or plagiarized material. Period. Blaming volunteer editors for following policy instead of reading the information that has been provided to you to explain why your contributions have been deleted is not going to make the situation any better. Lashing out and attacking those that are protecting Wikipedia from legal implications will lead to your account being blocked. Jezebel'sPonyobons mots 19:58, 1 March 2011 (UTC)
Last time i checked this is a free country i wrote it on my own page , free speech? I'm starting to think you have no idea what copyright violation is. Sorry just very frustrated i thought it would be very cool to do this. i cited the work and the work is not copyrighted and is used on many sites on the web. i even gave an example of the same story on another site. the site i used even took that from another site.
- I do understand what copyright and plagiarism is - you could learn more about it as well if you would read WP:COPYPASTE. I understand that you are frustrated, but freedom of speech is irrelevant to the situation. Jezebel'sPonyobons mots 20:16, 1 March 2011 (UTC)
i said my say , wiki's loss not mine. but i'm 100% sure that if other websites can use the same extract story , then it is not copyrighted. i even gave an example that was ignored.
Why wiki is a big let down?
[edit]if you work hard on a page and a shut in doesn't like it then you page gets deleted for no reason at all. They make up rules ect to avoid having real reasons on deleting a page. I just realized this site is just one big joke, no one takes anything serious off of wiki, i allways hear " don't post links from wiki" on my page on facebook , i want real sites. I thought it would be cool doing a page on wiki so people can read it, i guess i was 1,000% wrong.
- It is to increase the quality and reliability of Wikipedia that it has a set of rules, policies and guidelines that volunteer editors apply. The page you created got deleted for a reason, namely that it was filled with copyright violations. You are welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, but you have to follow the rules and be prepared to engage with the community. —Tom Morris (talk) 20:04, 1 March 2011 (UTC)
i said my say, but i know for a fact 100% that were no copy right violations.
- It was not ignored, it was irrelevant. It does not matter if other websites do not adhere to the same standards as Wikipedia. You are welcome to contribute here, just don't copy material from other websites. --Jezebel'sPonyobons mots 20:32, 1 March 2011 (UTC)
yeah wiki has high standards i mean there is a wiki page for masturbation and even shows a man and women masturbating. Those are some pretty high standards , a real page gets deleted but pages with nudity get to stay.
- That's because Wikipedia is not censored. —Tom Morris (talk) 21:08, 1 March 2011 (UTC)
I have removed what you wrote on your userpage; see our policy on that sort of material. You cannot attack other editors in that fashion. We don't want you to leave, but you cannot add copyrighted material for reasons that have been explained to you above. Please listen to the advice you have been given above and reflect on it.
