[edit]Hello, I'm AntiDionysius. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Suleiman Sadiq Umar, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. AntiDionysius (talk) 16:47, 13 September 2023 (UTC)
Please do not add or change content, as you did at Suleiman Sadiq Umar, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. AntiDionysius (talk) 16:53, 13 September 2023 (UTC)
Please stop. If you continue to add unsourced or poorly sourced content, as you did at Suleiman Sadiq Umar, you may be blocked from editing. AntiDionysius (talk) 23:16, 14 September 2023 (UTC)
Managing a conflict of interest
[edit]Hello, Abdulkadir Alausa. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Suleiman Sadiq Umar, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization, clients, or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{edit COI}} template);
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest § How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam § External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. AntiDionysius (talk) 09:49, 14 September 2023 (UTC)
- hi antidionysius, i have read his book written by him and I follow him on all handles. he has a book called how I became a senator in 30days. the information you have provided about him is not detailed. pls stop taking down my contributions without confirming the credibility of the information I hasve uploaded. do your research. i am still trying to get a hang of the referencing method of wikipedia. i am from kwara central and he is from kwara north. there is no conflict of interest here. Secondly his names are Sadiq Suleiman Umar, not Suleiman Sadiq Umar. I have more information. thank you in anticipation of your understanding Abdulkadir Alausa (talk) 23:57, 14 September 2023 (UTC)
- Hello. More information about an article subject is always a good thing, but it needs to be backed up by sources. A book written by a person about themselves is not considered a good source on Wikipedia. Neither is the fact that you live in a certain place. The specific way you reference is less of an issue, since I or other editors would be happy to help put sources into the right format, but there needs to be verifiable sourcing.
- Additionally, articles must be written from a neutral point of view; some of what you wrote was not neutral, such as when you describe him as an "empathetic leader". If you'd like to expand the page please do, but only in ways that comply with the policies about sourcing and neutrality. AntiDionysius (talk) 00:03, 15 September 2023 (UTC)
- very well noted. that has been removed, Abdulkadir Alausa (talk) 00:09, 15 September 2023 (UTC)
