[edit]Do not move this article. Using a name other than the one in the source is vandalism or original research.--TM 04:36, 4 April 2010 (UTC)
- You seem new to wikipedia, so I will point to a place you should read. Read this. It is wikipedia's policy on what sources can and cannot be cited for this encyclopedia. Obviously, we cannot accept you word for the article name. We have a source for the name and cannot change it unless reliable sources point elsewhere.--TM 04:45, 4 April 2010 (UTC)
Spoken word & rapping
[edit]Hello Middayexpress,
Why did you remove the edits to the Somalian Literature page on titled Revision as of 06:50, 5 March 2012? It was an addition of modern Somali poetry that was relevant the to the article. References were included as well. Your explanation was "not on local form." What does this mean?
Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Abdi1314 (talk • contribs) 20:49, 6 March 2012 (UTC)
- Hello. What I meant by the fact that the edits were not on local forms is that rapping and spoken word are not traditionally part of the literary culture of Somalia proper. Certainly not more so than other countries. While I'm sure your edits were made in good faith, the article is on the actual of literature of Somalia itself. It actually used to be called Literature of Somalia until recently (c.f. [1]). As such, what new foreign cultural trends certain diasporans may be involved in has no relevance to it.
