If you feel that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Thatguy69 23:49, 24 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on August 22, 1993, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the page and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. --SquidSK (1MClog) 23:13, 9 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Notability of Yisodai yisroel

[edit]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Yisodai yisroel, by Black Falcon (talk · contribs), another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Yisodai yisroel seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Yisodai yisroel, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. --Android Mouse Bot 2 03:31, 23 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Jacob Baror

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Jacob Baror requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Liepman Philip Prins, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/jsource/judaica/ejud_0002_0016_0_16099.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 00:04, 22 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Liepman Philip Prins, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where an article has substantially identical content to that of an article deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

Categories and sources

[edit]

Please do not continue to add religious categories to biography articles without ensuring that the category is supported by sourced article content, that the individual personally identified with the religious category, and that the category is relevant to the subject's notability. Additional information can be found at WP:BLPCAT and WP:EGRS. In addition, it is very important that information you add to articles includes sources for verification. Any addition of information to articles that is not verifiable will likely be removed. --Jezebel'sPonyobons mots 15:46, 18 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

ALL edits by me are either on the basis of sourced fact or the likeliest meaning of available sourced fact! If a person has a Jewish name and is interred in a Jewish cemetery and is known to have had association with the Jewish community as a whole; i consider it within reason to assume their jewishness unless otherwise verified. If there are any such edits of mine that have been factually WRONG then please list them below. Until then..... THANK YOU! --*Merkin* 22:27, 21 April 2011 (UTC)

Making you own deductions is considered original research, and using multiple threads of information to come to a deduction is synthesis, neither of which meet the policy verification through reliable sources. In order to remain within Wikipedia policy, please do not add the religious and ethnic categories unless they explicitly meet the requirements of WP:BLP and/or WP:EGRS. --Jezebel'sPonyobons mots 23:17, 21 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The article Irving I. Stone has been proposed for deletion because under Wikipedia policy, all biographies of living persons created after March 18, 2010, must have at least one source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't take offense. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners or ask at Wikipedia:Help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Linking dates

[edit]

Do not link dates, months, years, etc. That has been discontinued on Wikipedia a few years ago. Reason: this type of link is completely without reason. This is all well-documented in WP:MOS, I just want to bring it to your attention. Your edits, adding links to dates, have been rollbacked. Debresser (talk) 17:56, 30 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I noticed your recent attempt to provide sourcing for the above referenced article. While the effort is appreciated, we need references that meet the criteria for independence and reliability. Unfortunately, self-published, genealogical records do not meet the criteria. Therefore, the content has been removed. If you have questions or need assistance, please feel free to contact me. The article Ahavas Israel Synagogue has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Doesn't appear to meet the notability guidelines for organisations or the general notability guideline.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. – hysteria18 (talk) 22:03, 4 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. When you recently edited Mark Gelernter, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page College of Architecture and Planning (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hello, AmRen93. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Book storage, for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:

  1. edit the page
  2. remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. save the page

Also, be sure to explain why you think the article should be kept in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you don't do so, it may be deleted later anyway.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks, User:Spacevezontalk 20:02, 16 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
