Question

Can i create a film article whose filming is started but release date not conformed? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Hyderabadi (talkcontribs) 10:28, 10 February 2021 (UTC)

@Hyderabadi: Yes, you may. But make sure the production is notable per WP:NFF, ie. independently covered by multiple reliable sources. Cheers -- Ab207 (talk) 13:06, 10 February 2021 (UTC)

Krack Sethupathi

There are many scenes inspired from Sethupathi film The protagonist character was developed however there are many relatable scenes 124.123.163.77 (talk) 13:00, 11 February 2021 (UTC)

@124.123.163.77: You may add it only by providing a reliable source. See WP:ICTFSOURCES to have an idea of what is considered a reliable source. Thanks -- Ab207 (talk) 13:08, 11 February 2021 (UTC)

Two cents

Hey there, re: this, I'm not going to revert it, because it seems to be attributed to a mysterious figure called Trinath, but from my experience here, if a production company releases a figure, and that figure is also published by other sources at about the same time, it's highly likely that these other sources are just regurgitating that figure without clarifying that point. We should be circumspect about that sort of thing, especially since there is no obligation on our part to provide up-to-the-minute updates on film grosses, and we could opt to wait until the figures settle, instead of unwittingly being part of the hype machine. Cyphoidbomb, thanks for notifying. I always try to pick from the best of sources we can get. I was convinced that it's a good source because it puts the estimate 10 crore lower than the studio's figure. The page is receiving nearly 40,000 views per day since its release, making it highly susceptible to unsourced additions. Hence I felt there was a need to keep the page to up-to-date. But I see your point and will keep that in mind while making future edits. -- Ab207 (talk) 18:37, 15 February 2021 (UTC)
OK, clearly I'm an idiot here. I thought it was the same figure. My mistake. Sorry about that! That's embarrassing. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 18:51, 15 February 2021 (UTC)
Cyphoidbomb, Oh, that's totally fine. Let me take this opportunity to say that I'm greatly indebted to you for having my back here. I was actively tracking both Tarunq and Rakesh Mish to clean up any mess they leave behind, which might explain the intersections. I must admit being slightly miffed to be in such a situation but I'm a bit concerned that I haven't received any customary ping or notification about it. I found the page purely by chance. Listening to the other side is one of the core principles of natural justice which makes me wonder why intimation is not mandatory in such cases. Nevertheless, thank you from the bottom of my heart! -- Ab207 (talk) 19:14, 15 February 2021 (UTC)
It was a no-brainer from my perspective. I understand your concern about not being pinged, but I often find that SPIs work best when you don't notify the suspected party. Although that's typically in areas where you have more evidence than a comparison of intersections. I probably should have pinged you, but since it wasn't going anywhere, it seemed best to not draw any attention to it. Sorry if you were stirred, and thanks for your participation in the community. We need more strong editors who are interested in Indian subjects. Regards, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 19:27, 15 February 2021 (UTC)
Cyphoidbomb, Oh, I see. It's a pleasure to be here. -- Ab207 (talk) 19:42, 15 February 2021 (UTC)
