Hello! My name is Aemu Anteneh and I am a student at Princeton University. The past spring semester, I was enrolled in a class called Linguistic Universals and Language Diversity, in which each student in the class was assigned their own grammar to intensely study in order to enhance the existing wikipedia page on the assigned language. I was assigned Jingulu, and broke down my study of the language to its background, phonology, morphology, and syntax. This is the manner in which I approached editing this existing page. I complemented the existing information on phonology with more specifics and examples, and reorganized this section a bit to flesh out details including syllable structure and stress. For clarity, I renamed the "grammar" section in the original wikipedia page to "morphology", and similarly enhanced the existing section, most notably by adding more detail on parts of speech, derivation, nominals, and morphological processes (reduplication). Finally, I moved the small blurb on syntax from the previously-called "grammar" section to create a new section titled "syntax", and added to the existing information with specifics on simple/complex and examples for each. License tagging for File:Geography of Jingulu and surrounding languages.png

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Geography of Jingulu and surrounding languages.png. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 20:30, 22 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Non-free rationale for File:Jingulumap.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Jingulumap.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F6 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:00, 23 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
