Re: anti harris

[edit]

Sure, I'll handle the AfD. When you're concerned about the notability of an article, the simplest thing to do would be to leave a note on WT:N, and somebody there will point you in the direction of what to do. Juliancolton Tropical Cyclone 00:53, 22 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

I have noticed that the IP address [1] and your user account have edited several articles/talk pages and that 71.197.69.67 is not very active. Is this an IP address that you sometimes use or is it just a coincidence. --Philip Baird Shearer (talk) 20:32, 7 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Dowdify

[edit]

Hello. Your insertion of disputed material has been removed and an open discussion can be found on the talk page. Please use the discussion to argue for inclusion, keeping in mind the points that have been raised against it. Thanks. Viriditas (talk) 05:37, 1 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The fact that there was an unsuccessful attempt to create a new word (i.e. Dowdify) is NOT in contention.
Your call.

That's a good reason to include it. Do you have at least two sources, one of which is independent of the author? Viriditas (talk) 10:12, 4 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
The source you recently used could not be verified in the transcript. Please present a timestamp in the interview. The fact remains, BLP's are not a dumping ground for criticism of the subject that has not received significant coverage in reliable sources. Viriditas (talk) 19:28, 16 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

To clarify per your request on my talk page: In this diff you moved the source citation from the quote to another paragraph. On Wikipedia, quotes need citations, so you should not have moved it. It's also not clear if the cite you moved supports the statement, "Ms Dowd has also been criticized for using "quotes" that have been heavily redacted by the use of ellipses to reverse the meaning of the unmodified quote." I did not see it in the transcript, but if you have a timestamp (00:00) as to when the event occurred, that would help me to verify it. Nevertheless, I have previously disputed inclusion here, and I question the use of Ms. Dowd's biographical entry as a dumping ground for criticism from the blogosphere. Unless criticism in question appears to have significant coverage in reliable sources, we aren't going to include it. Viriditas (talk) 01:59, 17 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Mass killings under Communist regimes Afd idea

[edit]

Please read the last Afd, closed as "Keep", before thinking about re-nominating it. Each rationale raised there was rebutted. AmateurEditor (talk) 16:35, 23 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

If you are going to state that this product is malware, you're going to need to find a reliable independent source, see WP:V. We can't just take your word that "everybody knows it". Also, please don't put your signature in the text of articles. NawlinWiki (talk) 01:48, 24 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
