Sum up certifications

[edit]

We can't sum the certifications, because the sales certified country by country don't respond to the total that claims the medias. For example, Thriller sold 110 million copies, but the sum of the certifications claims 44 million copies. For this reason, we can't sum it. SJ (talk) 23:51, 31 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Michael Jackson Lead

[edit]

Hi, I'm sorry about the apparent edit war on the lead section of the Michael Jackson article. Obviously that's not constructive for anyone. I reverted your change because it goes against consensus. I've left details at the bottom of the talk page for the article. I'll watch the page, so await your reply. Thanks, --Tom dl (talk) 17:39, 28 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thats not a consensus. Those are suggested ideas from JULY OF 2009 for the nickname and the intro which did'nt get voted on nor did anything much change. Similiar suggstion for the article are here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Michael_Jackson#This_article_is_in_a_sad_state. We are now in closing NOVEMBER 2009. If you feel like King of Pop should'nt be in the first paragraph due to it being "inapropriate" then it has to be changed in every article with a similiar first paragraph make ups as well not just Michael Jackson.

and so many others A Star Is Here (talk) 20:44, 28 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I suggest this is discussed on the talk page only. I have answered you there. Thanks, --Tom dl (talk) 14:52, 29 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not include information from the United World chart, or any other chart listed at WP:BADCHARTS, to any Wikipedia article. That is the reason that I originally made this edit, and that I have removed it again. Feel free to add this information back if you can find a legitimate source, but do not add things from mediatraffic.de (the United World Chart).

In the future, do not revert edits without providing an explanation for your reversion. My edit summary clearly indicated the guideline I was following when I performed my edit. Your reversion, lacking an explanation, implicitly accused me of vandalism, something that I do not appreciate.—Kww(talk) 16:16, 15 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not come to my page writing stupid statements on how you feel "implicitly accused vandalism." If you had a problem with the source or paragraph that there was long before I touched and all I did was restore, all you had to say is we need a better source and you should refer to WP:BadCharts which I wpuld have clearly said ok your right, but instead you come to my page and unnecessarily add extra nonsense on top of that with a rude attitude.
I'll tell you what Ill add my "explantation" when I find a legitimate source, Thats what you were complaining about, and in the future next time you got to someones talk page keep the conversation on wikipedia only and not on your personal feeling which i do not care for. You have a good day Kww A Star Is Here (talk) 22:43, 15 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I'm sorry that you felt I was whining, but reverting without providing an explanation is only appropriate for vandalism. That's not some private sensitivity of mine: it's mentioned in WP:UNDO, and it's pretty much the consensus on Wikipedia. If you revert any editor, please provide an edit summary indicating why you believe that the edit they made was worthless.—Kww(talk) 01:42, 16 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Elvis sold one billion records?

[edit]

I think you made a point on Talk:Elvis Presley. We already had discussions of this kind. See [1] and [2]. There is a tendency to suppress more critical remarks on Elvis Presley, even if they are well sourced. See, for instance, these discussions: [3] and [4]. Perhaps you can provide your opinion here.
