Speedy deletion nomination of Rekijyo
[edit]A tag has been placed on Rekijyo requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content. You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. ttonyb (talk) 23:07, 30 March 2010 (UTC)

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed maintenance templates from Ōkunitama Shrine. When removing maintenance templates, please be sure to either resolve the problem that the template refers to, or give a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, as your removal of this template has been reverted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. --DAJF (talk) 23:47, 17 April 2010 (UTC)
Concerns about English ability
[edit]Hi. I'm sure you are trying to be helpful by starting a number of new articles on various Japanese subjects, but if your English ability is not really sufficient to write comprehensible articles, it might be better to ease up a bit and perhaps spend more time working on Japanese Wikipedia instead. Some of your recent edits to Kodomo Teate Law and Ōkunitama Shrine really have been quite incomprehensible, and just add a lot of work for other editors who have to come round and decode what you are trying to say. You have to remember that this is a working encyclopedia and not a place to practise your high-school English. For example, what on earth is "Majority of the people took the cake of his strong attachment for mommy in 63 years old." supposed to mean? Seriously? --DAJF (talk) 03:55, 28 April 2010 (UTC)
- take the cake mean fed up or aghast in slang expression..OK?— Preceding unsigned comment added by A Japanologist (talk • contribs) 05:18, 28 April 2010 (UTC)
- I'm familiar with the expression "take the cake", although I didn't think many people used it these days. I was actually asking about the meaning of the whole sentence. But don't worry now it has been removed. --DAJF (talk) 06:50, 28 April 2010 (UTC)
- I think in the article about policy, should be used indirectly or metaphorical expression, but it will be understood only highly educated men.
- I guess you have not insight into my designs, oh well. Don't sweat it.--A Japanologist (talk) 08:55, 28 April 2010 (UTC)
- Sorry, but your answer doesn't make much sense to me, and doesn't appear to answer the original question either. I think when writing Wikipedia articles, it is important to make sure that the wording is clear to all readers - not just "highly educated men". If you can take more care when adding material in future, it will be greatly appreciated by other readers and editors. --DAJF (talk) 09:32, 28 April 2010 (UTC)

[edit]Please do not delete content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Chichibu Railway 6000 series, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear constructive, and has been reverted. Please make use of the sandbox if you'd like to experiment with test edits. Thank you. --DAJF (talk) 00:28, 4 May 2010 (UTC)
Chichibu Railway article comments
[edit]- Hi. I see you have tagged the Chichibu Railway 1000 series as requiring a cleanup to meet Wikipedia standards[1]. While I agree that the article needs expansion, I can't see what needs cleaning up in the article at present. Could you be more specific about what exactly you think needs cleaning up?
- Also, I see you have proposed merging a number of Chichibu Railway EMU articles into a single article[2]. If you seriously think that that would be a better solution, then I suggest you create a combined article on your user page first to show how the seven EMU articles could be combined, and then posting on the WikiProject Trains in Japan page to ask for comments. --DAJF (talk) 00:44, 4 May 2010 (UTC)
Repeatedly re-adding comments on my Talk page
[edit]Please take the time to read WP:OWNTALK, especially the bit where it says "Users may freely remove comments from their own talk pages". I've read your comments (three times now). They never make much sense, so you can stop re-adding them. And yes, you are free to remove any of my comments from your talk page. I really don't care. Thank you. --DAJF (talk)

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Mafia, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and read the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did with this edit to the page Mafia. Such edits constitute vandalism and are reverted. Please do not continue to make unconstructive edits to pages; use the sandbox for testing. Thank you. Aymatth2 (talk) 02:13, 10 May 2010 (UTC)
It is indicated by the reference. see it.
Please stop. Continuing to remove maintenance templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Yumiko Himei, without resolving the problem that the template refers to may be considered vandalism. Further edits of this type may result in your being blocked from editing Wikipedia. --DAJF (talk) 06:47, 10 May 2010 (UTC)
This is the final warning you will receive regarding your disruptive edits.
The next time you remove the maintenance templates from Wikipedia articles, as you did to Yumiko Himei, without resolving the problem that the template refers to, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. --DAJF (talk) 06:59, 10 May 2010 (UTC)
- I added the link of the program, why you should write inappropriate remark?--A Japanologist (talk) 07:09, 10 May 2010 (UTC)
- You simply added a link to the TV programme's website, which does not mention her appearance on 31 March 2008, making it impossible to verify this claim. In fact I have not been able to find any references to this claimed appearance, other than on Wiki derivatives, so it is a WP:BLP issue too. --DAJF (talk) 07:12, 10 May 2010 (UTC)
- See Himei official site, in it written the TV program.--A Japanologist (talk) 07:17, 10 May 2010 (UTC)
- OK... a URL would be nice. --DAJF (talk) 07:21, 10 May 2010 (UTC)
Ok. not at all. good by--A Japanologist (talk) 07:29, 10 May 2010 (UTC)
- Seriously, did you not understand what I wrote? If you cannot provide a URL that says she appeared in a costume drama on TV Tackle in March 2008, you have to leave it all out. Period. Please read WP:BLP otherwise I really will have to report you for disruptive editing. --DAJF (talk) 07:38, 10 May 2010 (UTC)
- The link to the official programme site simply says that she appeared on that show. It does not mention anything about her playing a maid and certainly does not say anything about representations of rape in period drama, so unless you have another more detailed source, it has to be left out as per WP:BLP (have you actually read it?). --DAJF (talk) 08:06, 10 May 2010 (UTC)
Mafia edit
[edit]To answer your question, the change you made to the section on "Initiation ceremony" was to add:
- The member of Mafia never cause harm to tourists<ref>「ゴッドファーザーPartIII」から20年 世界で一番怖い「シチリア・マフィア」堂々さゆり [[:ja:週刊新潮|週刊新潮]] 2010年2月25日号</ref>. Because they give it up for travelers and afraid that they have negative image for the Sicily.
There are several problems with this addition. The content you added has nothing to do with the subject of "initiation ceremony". The assertion is questionable - other sources would contradict it. The quality of English is very poor. The citation is meaningless for anyone who does not speak Japanese. (A citation from a non-English source is acceptable, but should be written so an English-speaker can understand what source is being used: it should show that the language is Japanese, should include translations of the title and publication name, and should give dates in English.) Given all these problems I considered that the addition did not add value, so removed it. Aymatth2 (talk) 12:00, 10 May 2010 (UTC)
Your edits to E5 Series Shinkansen
[edit]You have twice changed the wording in this article from "built" to "assembled", but do you understand the slight difference in meaning? The problem as I see it is that "assembled" implies that they were actually built elsewhere (like the China Railways CRH2 trains, which were built in Japan, but assembled in China). If, as it appears, English is not your first language, don't you think it might be better not to make changes that subtly alter the meaning of the text unless you fully understand the meaning of what you are writing? --DAJF (talk) 16:06, 12 May 2010 (UTC)
I think you are ignorance of the system of assembling of railway train; you should study Hitachi Ltd. Many Japanese makers not produce components, but put the pieces together only, the small components are assembled in Japan; it is order in which the parts are assembled, then it appropriate to express assemble. You had better study Japanese industries hard. If your mother tongue is English, use sophisticated style of writing, I think you have poor vocabulary, expression, …sorry. I try using multiple languages, English, German, Chinese, Korean, and Japanese…etc. I am always taking a challenge difficult aim, and have ability of creation, while on the other hand you are always find fault of others only. If you always do what always have done, you'll only have what you have now. A Japanologist (talk) 09:06, 13 May 2010 (UTC)
Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference
[edit]Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled.
On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true
. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false
in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and you will still be able to manually mark your edits as being 'minor'. The only thing that's changed is that you will no longer have them marked as minor by default.
For established users such as yourself there is a workaround available involving custom JavaScript. If you are familiar with the contents of WP:MINOR, and believe that it is still beneficial to the encyclopedia to have all your edits marked as such by default, then this discussion will give you the details you need to continue with this functionality indefinitely. If you have any problems, feel free to drop me a note.
Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot (talk) 19:41, 14 March 2011 (UTC)
Hi
Can you possibly find some English links for the refs provided, or at least translate them. At present it looks as if they may all be removed as either dead or untranslated. One appears to be a comment by a private individual in response to a news article, as such it would be an unreliable source.
I have gone through them all, only two or three exist as the rest are all dead links. Can you possibly find them via archives?
Thanks Chaosdruid (talk) 23:20, 21 July 2012 (UTC)
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
