My RfA

Thank you for voting for me at my RFA. I am thankful for your kind words and confidence in me. Even though it failed, constructive criticism was received. So Arktos,

can you even see Ursa Major from there? 14:46, 2 May 2006 (UTC)

Next time your in my neighborhood

Ursa Major

drop by and I'll show you a whole skyfull of stars. I just went out and shot the Big Dipper for you, which is the most obvious and best known part of Ursa Major. Carptrash 04:50, 3 May 2006 (UTC) PS you really DO need to click on the shot to get anything.[reply]

This shot was taken with my wife's Olympus Digital camera, which is NOT an expensive camera but does have a setting marked by a moon and star that allows it to take maybe 10 second exposures on "automatic". The problem is that I can't see the stars when I'm setting it up on the tripod, so I take several pictures and pick the best. Carptrash 22:10, 3 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Sounds as if you have the same, or very similar camera. We've got the 10X zoom which carpwoman uses for hummingbirds and the like. I use it for tops of buildings. our booklet explaining it got lost within a day or two so there has been a lot of trial-and-error here. Say, I wonder if those instructions sef-destruct? Re: Lilli Pilli again

Hi, Sorry to take so long to get back to you - and the answer is no, I never heard back from the ourshire folks... Which seems weird to me - I mean I certainly wouldn't ignore a message about potential copyright violation (either to say I wanted it removed immediately, or to say that I was okay with it). But, no, there was no response. You can try contacting them if you want, to see if you have any better luck, or maybe we just remove it and be done with it? -- All the best, Nickj (t) 03:21, 4 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Scouting in the Australian Capital Territory, an article you did so much to improve, will be the featured article on Portal:Scouting in June. Well done. --Bduke 22:23, 14 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Many thanks

I would just like to formally thank you for aiding me in maintaining the correct NPOV on the Spring holiday article. Albury Station

Have been having a dispute about the length of Albury Station, and how it compares in length with Flinders St in Melbourne (claimed to be the longest in Aust). Notice that you took the pictures on some of the articles, so wondering if you had any idea of the length of it. Thanks for any help you can give. --jjron 23:45, 25 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your help, amazing (and so quick). Checked a couple of discussion pages, but didn't think to look on the Albury discussion. OK, now may have to take this up with the Flinders St Station article which makes the claim for longest in Aust, and 4th longest in world. --jjron 00:20, 26 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Why did you revert my edit on the Wagga Wagga, New South Wales page? Now the Aust local govt area template looks out of place on the page and i also added in Ladysmith which is part of the Wagga Wagga City Council area.

Current Events Oz & NZ

Hello AYArktos

I see that you have made a recent addition to Current Events Australia and New Zealand (now Current events in Oceania). Thanks for that.

In my work, I help to produce the Austral Peace and Security Network report (APSNet), a bi-weekly roundup of security news for Australia and the surrounding area. You might find it a useful source for the occasional post to Current Events in Australia and New Zealand.

There is an archive of 2006 APSNet issues, and a page for free e-mail subscription, if you think that it would be useful.

Thanks for the help. Am looking at citing but its a bit confusing and will go through it thoroughly after Australia v Netherlands game but before writing more articles.

Will stop the q.v ing (and do know what quod vide means and how it was used). Though is there an appropriate method? There is difference between the NSW Corps and Spain in the Macarthur article. Especially I deleted some material that was better covered in the Corps article where as the Spain link is only useful if you Don' know that Spain is the bit below France. I just thought I should draw your attention to the edits being made by Clever curmudgeon on the article about Haya Rashid Al-Khalifa, which is currently linked from the main page. This user is consistently making the poorly-expressed claim that Al-Khalifa was involved in the September 11 attacks, said claim being unsourced. I (and, I believe, anyone else who has reverted the article to its original state) have been threatened with being "stalked" and having all of our edits reverted by this user. It's a minor issue at the moment, but I've kept my correspondence with him on my Talk page in case you want to look into the matter any further. BigHaz 00:02, 9 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Uncle Arthur

Uncle Arthur was a character on a popular television show called the Comedy Company on Network Ten in the late 1980's. He was played by Glenn Robbins. Richard Cavell has proposed rewriting the article as a disambiguation covering the various Uncle Arthurs including the Australian one. That is why I have added it as an Australia-related article. By the way, it seems as if the other notable Andrew Barr was known as Nicky Barr so I will be writing the article about him under that name when I get time. AY. Thankyou for your comments. I have expanded the wikilinks and referencing. As an aside, I have drawn on my own personal memories of the incident in writing this article. I joined Gulf Oil shortly after the incident (see photographic evidence on the Gulf Oil Discussion page) and made several site visits between 1980 and 1985. This gives colour to the story background, and all the essentials are referenced. Bob BScar23625 07:41, 16 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Australian Christmas Tree

Hi, AYArktos!

I wonder if you can help me.

Somone, a year ago, put up an article on Australian Christmas Tree. The person who did it doesn't seem to have been around for a while- noting his discussion page.

Problem is, the page is wrongly labelled, and it has a tad which is also wrong (they match of course).

Australian Christmas Tree should be called Western Australian Christmas Tree. It's exclusive to Western Australia and this is the name that it's known by. Because it's parasitic, it's not grown commercially.

Note- this is not the pretty mauve Victorian Christmas Bush, or the lovely white-turning-salmon Christmas Bush that grows right down the East Coast. This is something else entirely, and it's deep yellow to orange in colour.

I'm not really sure about how to move this stuff and connect it all up to the right places and fix the tad box.

Would you mind fixing it?

anons contribution to Gundagai article

Heyo

I note that you questioned the veracity of an anons additions to Gundagai regarding a 19th century aboriginal massacre. Further editing by a similar looking IP address has made the article even less encyclopaedic. Personally I would just delete everything the anon wrote but wiser heads like yourself may be able to incorporate the changes without it looking like a harangue by a semi-literate. Cheers. --Roisterer 10:35, 17 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

McCosker

Sorry about the edit summary - I usually remember to do that when I propose articles for deletion, and I just forgot to do so last night.

It seems to me that while there may be some interesting content here (specifically the court case), there isn't really anything in the existing article that could be used to construct such an article. Based on what is there, it seems to be there not because it was a landmark courtcase (if it was - I'm not personally familiar with it), but rather because someone found the story salacious. In its current form, it comes perilously close to violating the project's living persons guidelines. I trust your judgement as to the notability of the case, so I won't nominate it for AfD yet, but I will if it remains in its current form for much longer. Rebecca 02:13, 18 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I strongly protest Rebecca's allegations made here and on my talk page, where she says that the article exists because someone finds "him being a gay pedophile very interesting". (Since when is sex with a 23-year old pedophilia?) I was prompted to write an article about him in response to a blog post by Antony Loewenstein complaining about the lack of government support for McCosker. Andjam 02:35, 18 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

kangaroo court

If you had known the details of the case you would see its as much a kangaroo court as a kangaroo court can get in a modern state of law. I'm really not biased towards labeling it a kangaroo court because of personal motives, I know the US judicial system has its good and bad points. The case just clearly shows what can happen in a court of law when there is no intention of convicting anybody (the lack of an interested prosecutor was obvious). Perhaps sustaining the idea with more refferences both from US and Romania should help.Warfare utf 07:50, 19 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you

I'm very new to Wikipedia. I actually live in the US, but I was doing some research on that park and decided to contribute more, however I realize that I was mixing up the two parks now. I try to be accurate in all my information, but I appreciate you fixing what I had messed up. Hopefully I'll become a more proficient WIKI user.

Apologies if my edits seemed hasty, I did act with good faith to improve the article. I deleted no information that I did not later expand; I simply reorganised the sections appropriately and did away with unrequired headings. The indigenous politics section I integrated into the new "Release" section, where I placed information on his life after prison.

The image I see no problem with using. It illustrates the topic of the article and if fair use complications arise (which I doubt they will) they can be dealt with then. michael talk 09:12, 21 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Interesting. Post-release life is different, hence under the section "Release" (feel free to re-name it). I am not concerned at what image is used for Stuart. However, should he be portrayed in the image as an imprisoned murderer and child rapist, or a community elder and councillor? michael talk 09:25, 21 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
The article was skin and bones when I first saw it. Unrequired headings, poor structure and organisation, one or two sentence paragraphs and dry prose. I had hoped to improve it.
There is a whole chapter in this book dealing with the Stuart case. It goes into explicit detail regarding the Playford Governmen't involvement, and provides extensive background information. I would say that this one chapter has more detail regarding the Stuart case than the whole article, and given the huge amount of references that are displayed in the article, I am at a loss as to why it was 'skin and bones' - especially when an obvious amount of work had been put into it.
Perhaps 'young and commited lawyer' was inappropriate. My source text glosses over said lawyer and describes other characters in detail as well. However, articles require detail - but not non-neutral language.
"gives more weight to the case as before". I'm not here to rewrite history - it has already taken place. He was a convicted and guilty child rapist and murderer, with his case causing controversy. I've already spoken about the lack of detail in the article. The introduction doesn't speak of a convicted and guilty child rapist and murderer - it speaks of an Aborigine who campaigned against a murder sentence with the aid of the press, and was then released to became an elder and councillor. Both "sides" of Stuart require attention, not just one.
The Stuart Case section already notes the press' involvement, if this was expanded (like I would have intended) it would have involved a larger section on their influence. The "newspaper campaign" paragraph might fit in 'Stuart Case' better, further cutting unrequired headings.
I was unaware of the complexities regarding book cite. I should have been more aware. Regarding spelling mistakes, I'm not perfect - but I'm a lot better than some.
I hope bringing all this to light can help to create a better, detailed and neutral article. michael talk 11:49, 21 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Good on them for stating that it is a 'good' article. Now it can become more than that. I'll give my work a quick copyedit. michael talk 12:19, 21 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I did have a glance over the issues. I was going to reply once I'd woken up a little more ;) I do agree with your stance however regarding making major edits to articles under peer review. I'll go over the details again shortly and see what I can offer. -- Longhair 20:02, 21 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
There is absolutely nothing stopping you from making modifications to the article. I do not understand this fuss whatsoever, if you don't think I've improved the article, make changes to my edits to integrate them better. michael talk 01:58, 23 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Why a revert instead of integrating changes? Why are you guarding the article? michael talk 02:05, 23 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Instead of responding with some useless beauracratic nonsense to intentionally 'shame' me, you could have replied to the very valid point I made. michael talk 02:21, 23 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I haven't "self-declared as believing the man is defined by his crime", I have said that the article deliberately misguides readers by not presenting available information in full. michael talk 02:42, 23 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
No, I find information in those references that has not been used in the article even when it could (and should) have been. In all honesty, I have no intention for conflict and want a solution. I intend to enlarge the Stuart Case section and want to know the most appropriate way to go about this. Before I make future changes to this section, would you be happy to review my text prior to it being placed on the page? Should a new article, 'Stuart Case' be created and the section in the article reduced to 2/3 paragraphs?
I do apologise if my comments did offend you, but I really am somewhat irritated by tip-toeing around and appreciate it when people are frank, even if comments sometimes come across as harsh. With this in mind, I would appreciate the {{subst:attack}} comment be removed from my talk page. Again, I apologise. michael talk 02:52, 23 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. I've now changed all the tags in the way you suggested.

Hi AYArktos. Firstly, apologies for my late reply. I've been somewhat distracted of late planning a move from my home town of Geelong, Victoria to another faraway place to live, up near the mighty Murray River this time. For this reason I've tried to keep my in-depth editing at bay and to concentrate on the smaller things at Wikipedia for a while whilst I'm otherwise busy behind the scenes. I tried a wikibreak. I found I couldn't keep away :)

I'm free now. Would you like me to look over the issue you mentioned with the Max Stuart article now, or is that matter largely resolved? Happy to help, just that article squibbles and talk page issues can get complex, and had to take a second priority there for a while whilst I had my thinking head into gear planning a major life change. Let me know either way and I'll do my best to jump in with some opinions. -- Longhair 10:43, 28 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for joining. Your articles on crime and crime related issues are usually above par, and you're a welcome addition to the project team. -- Longhair 10:46, 28 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I've just spent a major portion of the past 7 years fighting for my childs' rights in the legal arena, whilst at the same time fighting for my own in a criminal sense. I got the result I wanted, eventually, after much pain and lots of money spent. That's where my interest in crime and law originates. I met some interesting characters on my travels, with some hard luck stories to share. I doubt the journey is over. Your attention to detail and strong referencing brings good value to the project as a whole. I'm glad you joined us. -- Longhair 11:27, 28 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
One more thing. Feel free to evaluate any articles for the project according to the {{Grading scheme}}. I had some familiarity with most articles, having dealt with many of them since being a Wikipedian, and assessed as I remembered them to be upon my last visit. I assume I got some assessments incorrect and would appreicate your opinions on article quality as time permits.
I think the grading system makes good sense. If you know of any other projects that require such a system, I'd be happy to help implement it. -- Longhair 11:56, 28 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I added the humorous template now (as in everything else under the Category:Wikipedia Humor); do you still stand by your speedy (btw, if you think it should go, why didn't you do it yourself?) Cheers. Lectonar 11:03, 29 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Further to that, I removed the speedy tag because, while the page may be bizarre, it's certainly not patent nonsense by the definition we normally use. David | Talk 11:05, 29 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • I protected this page as an edit war, and noted that you jsut unprotected it with reasoning that protection is useless as admins are involved. You may want to review the protection policy as it CERTAINLY pertains to the editing of protected pages by admins. No it's the editorial commentary... no worries, I in fact do assume good faith on your part... mostly because you've been honest about targetting said images. I respect when folks are upfront and I meant it when I said that I appreciated your candor. Netscott 23:34, 2 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
In my view, {{user admin}} is not a toy... I'll remove it without hesitation from anyone's user page who isn't an admin. Netscott 00:48, 3 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
They're just seemingly misplaced lads not really understanding Wikipedia... I enjoy their stuff though... as group they have a funny and eclectic sense of humour. Part of the reason that I'm such a partisan for the Riechstag image (for its eclectic nature). Netscott 00:54, 3 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Indeed, that's why they are misplaced. I have no problem with the truly unencyclopedic images going away. And I suspect that unless they shape up in terms of contributing on the project they may need a little encouragement to move away from Wikipedia and frequent other online communities of a more social nature. You should know that I know all about that particular "not" here. Netscott 01:19, 3 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Makes sense, I wouldn't have mentioned it to you (despite knowing that you were likely to support it) save for the fact that you were pointing out that very "NOT" to me... and so it made sense. Take is easy.. I'm off to bed. Netscott 02:03, 3 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I modified a speedy delete tag to a prod tag but left the reason provided by an anon. Racism is not a reason for speedy deletion. No sources are given and there is no reason to my mind that this article should exist. Very nicely expressed. It seems you've come full circle. Thanks for your humrous response in that "disappointed" section of talk. :-) Netscott 21:20, 4 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
That's understandable. You can be sure that both User:JzG and I are against spamming. We'll see what becomes of the youth cabal. I suspect as their images are deleted one-by-one they'll migrate away from Wikipedia due to frustration of how things work around here. Netscott 21:53, 4 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Lady Jane Grey protected

Hi, I've protected the Lady Jane Grey page for the moment. That should stop it. I also undeleted the deletion. I had to do it to move the page — the system would not let me move it otherwise. FearÉIREANN\(caint) 02:02, 4 July 2006 (UTC) [reply]

Hi AYArktos. Some time ago your user page made mention of Avoca, Victoria and an interest you had in the township. During my recent wikibreaks of late, I've been passing through Avoca quite a bit. What exactly, assuming my memory isn't failing here, was your interest in Avoca? Would you like some images of the town, or some research done in regards to it's history perhaps? I intend to be back up that way in a week or so and am happy to expand Wikipedia's knowledge of Avoca in any way I can be of assistance. -- Longhair 13:00, 4 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Ned Kelly

I fully agree. I'm kinda testing and fiddling about with things on a grander scale. Seems to be working out as well. Feel free to upgrade the Kelly importance. I wasn't sure whether it was worth introducing importance parameters on a wider scale however it seems to have been accepted further up the chain so I don't see any major problem with proceeding. Don't take any ratings too seriously at this stage. They're open for discussion and change as always. -- Longhair 11:27, 5 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

personal attack

Did you send grahamec a message re his personal attack on Indigenous culture with him trying to discredit the symbolism re Coolac? I hope u did because if you didnt, you are not being even handed. I am initiated by the way so anyone talks in such a scoffing manner re Indigneous symbolism, its personal.

Note re here - 'Arktos' ' messages appear but the replies to stuff he asks contributors, dont. He asked me what the fishing meant. Someone should market 'administrator' tools and put them next to another well known power booster. They'd make heaps. Its no longer TBH I must fear, but TRH.

Article assessment by Wikiproject

I've made some progress with Project based assessments as per the military model. How's this template look to begin with on the article Talk:Geelong_Hospital. Early stages yet, but it seems to be going to plan. -- Longhair 12:23, 5 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Myth

You might not think what Grahamec said was offensive. It may not be to you.

It was to me though so your opinion of whether it wa sor not is pretty invalid.

That is the difference.

Different people see different things differently.

I dont think what I put up on the massacre discussion page in response to what grahamec said when he scoffed re myth offensive.

You do.

That isnt that valid an opinion either.

The page is about the coolac massacre and respect for Indigneous culture. Carrying on about "myth" is highly disrecpectful. Would wik carry on about whether the 'jesus' story was myth or not. Probably not as to do would be highly offensive to xians and there is no need to do that.

I tried to tidy coolac up and couldnt work out what was happening. Some posts/paragraphs were there twice. 'Pilotguy' was there too undoing my (tidying) edits. I give up.

Explanations for Aboriginal placenames

I suggest if wik wants to put up credible explanations for Aboriginal placenames it only use the recorded ethnologies or similar sources such as archaeologists might cite.

"Myth" seems to get thrown around on wik re Aboriginal cultural hertiage by people who its not the concern of to be commenting on.

Again I repeat - the source that can say with authority what Aborignal culture is about is culture itself, (or archaeologists though they sometimes have no idea re some stuff but pick it up pretty quickly once they are steered the right way as they hold a memory bank of associated stuff from being in the field).

Its appropriate to say that the word for Canberra comes from such and such, and leave it at that. All the breast talk is trying to record Aboriginal culture at Canberra and that is something wik has no authority to do and nor do any others only local Aboriginal people. Wik puts stuff up about the Catholic Church but does not attempt to make qualifed statements about the Catholic religion does it if wik isnt catholic? Whether there are breasts or not at Canberra is the business of culture and for those of it; and others trying to get that knowledge who are not qualified to have it, cant use it so are really just after it to sticky beak at restricted content. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 203.54.9.250 (talkcontribs) .

Coordinators?

I think we can safely snip them out until such time that it's deemed the role is required. it was a leftover as you know from the original layout. -- Longhair 23:32, 6 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Template help

I was about to say, before noticing you'd fixed it yourself, I hadn't added support for any military projects yet as I didn't want any code clashes to begin with, but the system is largely safe now so adding it shouldn't pose any problems. Sorry if I'd led you believe that option was functioning ok when it wasn't. I'm still working on ideas to integrate smaller projects to reduce the amount of talk page notices required. -- Longhair 14:57, 7 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Importance of places

I was beginning to think a basic agreement on importance standards needed to be reached. Capital cities take an obvious top importance rating, whereas the remainder could fall under mid to low depending on current status (some towns may no longer exist for example). We should begin a section similar to the Manual of Style on the assessments page. -- Longhair 05:38, 9 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Probably using a University or very public ip address also, making blocks ineffective. Let me know if they keep up the bad behaviour and I'll consider a short-term block to let them know their incivility ins't called for. -- Longhair 11:45, 9 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Don't block them yourself if you're actively editing the articles. It's clear a pattern is forming and they're not a new user. -- Longhair 11:51, 9 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I think someone needs to block anonymous users from editing Murrumbidgee River and Gundagai as it seems that the person likes editing the pages to how they want the page without backing up there sources. --RobertM 07:33, 12 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

July 10 1812

The date is 1812. It was taken from the Encyclopedia of Australian Events available on Macquarie.net. The entry reads in full

"The first detailed inquiry into the convict system in Australia, a report of a Select Committee on Transportation, was published in London on July 10, 1812. In general, the committee supported Macquarie's liberal policies, but thought that fewer tickets-of-leave should be issued. It also opposed the governor having the power to grant pardons. The committee concluded that the colony should be made as prosperous as possible so as to provide work for the convicts and to encourage them to become settlers after emancipation."

I noticed over the weekend that the Portal entry for today had no entries and so cobbled together an entry from the Encyclopedia of Australian Events above plus two people born on July 10 according to the Australian Dictionary of Biography and one person who died according to the same source.

It wasn't the Bigge Report because my memory of Australian history was that Bigge was critical of Macquarie's administration. I assume it was a Select Committee of the British parliament.

While I am here, I will put in a plug for the ACT Library's you beaut Online Collection which is accessible through your ACT Library card (assuming you are a fellow Canberran). The Online Collections offers an extensive range of resources including Encyclopedia Britannica, Grove Art & Music, Australian and international media databases and Australian resources. You can look at it here [1]. You can also do a search of many of those databases providing you have an ACT library card. You will also be asked for a PIN which is the last four digits of your library card. Capitalistroadster 09:38, 10 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

A range block that big could effect a lot of telstra users. Semi-protection is not ideal, but would make the problem go away for a while. If you went to the effort of taking it to the arbcom they might say revert 203. on sight on the affected articles, which is what I suggest you go ahead and do. I've also added the articles to my watch list and will revert as necessary.--Peta 11:32, 13 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Greetings

Hello, AYArktos, how are you? I'm just visiting while on my Wikibreak and decided to give a shout out. Also, I found two links regarding the level of insanity that has been reached in the United States regarding Christophobia (anti-Christianism). Here are two links I found quite interesting:

Enjoy, and you can comment at my talk page. I may not respond for a while, however I'm expecting to return for another brief period circa 22 July. — `CRAZY`(IN)`SANE` 08:42, 17 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

4chan 3rr

A lot of the reverting I did on that article were related to vandalism/non-verifiable content as well as implied personal attacks on myself, as shown in the edit summaries of the article. Ryulong 23:59, 17 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Okay then. It's just that content such as invasions have been in question of their notability for some time. The changing of "Anonymity" to "Anonymous" is not really necessary, as the near-good faith editors have done so. The "Sourdough breads often reach store shelves at speeds in excess of 70 mph" picture with its caption is patent nonsense. And the /b/radio section was deemed by another editor to be non-notable. I will leave your latest message here for a period of time, although I will still copy it over to my archives. Ryulong 00:33, 18 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I also do not want to be a target for the users of the boards. I had my User page sprotected because of WatchtowerJihad sockpuppets, and I don't need my talk page or any subpages to be vandalized by /b/tards. The mentioning of my user name specifically in several of the edit summaries was a final straw. Ryulong 00:40, 18 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I do use this username elsewhere, but it is what I have been using for a while. And I doubt that they would be able to find my username elsewhere due to various numbers I use after it. I believe I am safe, for now. Ryulong 00:57, 18 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I dont know if you have been following the main art during the bits and pieces coming and going over time, but the list (created with warnings against it mind you) was made as if you look at the rotto island board map, and any usual dli map - there are many feature names on the island which relate to issues when discussing the island in the main art - but which would clog the main art up - so part of the idea of the map was a gazetteer that isnt one (heheh) as a cross ref. if it dosnt work, lets get rid of it!  :) SatuSuro 01:42, 18 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
