Hello world!

My goal here is to inform, update, and correct. Feel free to drop me a line to discuss anything.

Notability

[edit]

Hi, I noticed the sources that you added to Julius Weinberger. Please read WP:NOTABILITY. What the article needs are reliable, independent sources that have written about Weinberger; things he's written himself do not support notability. Schazjmd (talk) 14:55, 9 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Schazjmd, I added the "Uri Award" ref which should satisfy notability (I hope?) ALT.PARANET (talk) 15:26, 9 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I had to remove that. The source did not say he received the award; it said he should, meaning his idea was so outrageous, it should be a contender for an Uri award, which is not a good thing, nor does it contribute to notability. Take a look at WP:BASIC: you need multiple, independent sources that give significant coverage of Weinberger. Schazjmd (talk) 15:52, 9 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
So you removed a citation from a reliable secondary source? I've clarified the quote and put it in context, now it should stay. It's historically significant. ALT.PARANET (talk) 13:21, 10 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I removed it previously because your text misrepresented what it said. The corrected version is fine, but adds nothing for notability. It's a brief mention (not significant coverage) that just says his idea was nonsense. Schazjmd (talk) 15:49, 10 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

A cup of coffee for you!

Deletion discussion about Yogi Coudoux

[edit]

Hello, ALT.PARANET, and welcome to Wikipedia. I edit here too, under the username Dawkin Verbier, and I thank you for your contributions.

I wanted to let you know, however, that I've started a discussion about whether an article that you created, Yogi Coudoux, should be deleted, as I am not sure that it is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia in its current form. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Yogi Coudoux.

You might like to note that such discussions usually run for seven days and are not votes. And, our guide about effectively contributing to such discussions is worth a read. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Dawkin Verbier}}. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . Thanks!
