Information icon Hello, I'm Peaceray. An edit that you recently made to Napoleon III seemed to be a test and has been removed. If you want to practice editing, please use your sandbox. If you think a mistake was made, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Peaceray (talk) 00:16, 21 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

When adding links to material on external sites, as you did to Marche Henri IV, please ensure that the external site is not violating the creator's copyright. Linking to websites that display copyrighted works is acceptable as long as the website's operator has created or licensed the work. Knowingly directing others to a site that violates copyright may be considered contributory infringement. This is particularly relevant when linking to sites such as YouTube or Sci-Hub, where due care should be taken to avoid linking to material that violates its creator's copyright. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously, and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If you believe the linked site is not violating copyright with respect to the material, then you should do one of the following:

  • If the linked site is the copyright holder, leave a message explaining the details on the article Talk page;
  • If a note on the linked site credibly claims permission to host the material, or a note on the copyright holder's site grants such permission, leave a note on the article Talk page with a link to where we can find that note;
  • If you are the copyright holder or the external site administrator, adjust the linked site to indicate permission as above and leave a note on the article Talk page;

If the material is available on a different site that satisfies one of the above conditions, link to that site instead.

I've also noticed that a number of your recent edits have been reverted. Please take care to look at the reasons that editors (hopefully) provided for those reverts, and take care to not continue causing the same issues. You can see your recent contributions from the link on the top right corner of the page (on PC), and look at edit histories by clicking any of the subsequent "diff" or "hist" links.

Hope this helped. Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia! Bass77talkcontribs 05:42, 21 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

EDIT WARRING NOTICE - Italian Social Republic - Kingdom of Italy - Fascist Italy (1922–1943)- First French Empire

[edit]
Stop icon

Your recent editing history shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.(KIENGIR (talk) 22:59, 22 December 2020 (UTC))[reply]

Your attempts to add information rejected by multiple editors

[edit]

Once again, you have attempted to add information to Italian Social Republic, Kingdom of Italy, and Fascist Italy (1922–1943) that has been rejected previously by multiple editors, and you have ignored the advice given you to discuss your edits on the talk pages of those articles. This is, again, WP:Disruptive editing, which you were just blocked for, and you will almost certainly be blocked again, for a longer period of time, if you continue on this path. You cannot force information into an article by simply repeatedly adding it after other editors have reverted your additions, that is Editing warring, which is not allowed.

Please read WP:BRD, which advises that when your Bold edit has been Reverted by another editor, the recommended next step, if you continue to think the edit is necessary, is to Discuss the dispute on the article talk page with other editors, but not to re-revert it, which is the first step to [[edit warring. Discussion on the talk page is the only way we have of reaching consensus, which is central to resolving editing disputes in an amicable and collegial manner, which is why communicating your concerns to your fellow editors is essential. While the discussion is going on, the article generally should remain in the status quo ante until the consensus as to what to do is reached (see WP:STATUSQUO).

Please consider this as a final warning before your continued misbehavior is brought to the attention of an administrator for disposition. Beyond My Ken (talk) 19:21, 26 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
