June 2022

[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on List of countries by level of military equipment. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. - wolf 21:24, 9 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Added note

Seriously take a moment and read the edit warring policy noted above, and included in the link. If you continue to revert the edit on that page, you will likely be blocked from editing. Another practice here is the princible of WP:BRD, which stands for "Bold, Revert, Discuss"; as in you

  • Boldly made an edit, it was
  • Reverted. If you disagree, you then
  • Discuss the matter on the article talk page.

What you don't do is repeatedly try to re-add your edit, along with lengthy, argumentitive edit summaries. I reealize you're new here, but just like the law, ignorantia juris non excusat. And now that you have been advised of these guidelines and practices, you are expected to stop your reverts and start a discuss in the article talk page is you wish to see your edit re-added. I would also strongly encourage you to read through the 'welcome' I placed at the top of this page, there is a lot of inforamtion there for new users. - wolf 21:38, 9 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
