- That user keeps removing the "Scandal" section of Solon High School.
- The following should appear on Solon High School's Wikipedia page
- "Solon High School has seen a number of controversial school scandals over the years, to the detriment of the district's reputation.
- Sexting scandal
- In 2014, Solon High School experienced allegations of sexting amongst students and perhaps even faculty. The school administrators however denied that these allegations were true, despite evidence being brought to light regarding students trading nude photos within a specific mobile app.
- Grooming and sexual misconduct by principal Erin Short
- In March 2021, allegations surfaced of sexual relations between lesbian principal Erin Short and a former female student who graduated in 2005. The student, in a statement written to the Solon Police Department, claimed that Short began a “calculated cultivation of [an] inappropriate relationship” with her while she was still a student at Solon High School, detailing various acts of grooming directly by the principal. The statement went on to claim that Short pursued an intimate relationship that quickly turned sexual as soon as the girl graduated. Short admitted that the allegation was true. However despite her admission, school administrators chose to reinstate Erin Short's employment. Although Short was cleared of legal wrongdoing, the controversy lies in the fact that the Ohio Department of Education's Licensure Code of Professional Conduct clearly defines grooming and sexual relations within 12 months of graduation as direct violations, and therefore grounds for termination.
- Ed Kline sexual abuse
- As of August 2021, former district band director Ed Kline has been charged with 19 counts of gross sexual imposition, allegedly having sexually abused students as young as 12 for years. Kline quietly resigned in June 2018 before his employment was able to be terminated, thus saving the school district from greater public embarrassment.
- The offenses took place from August 2003 until June 2014, according to the indictment, and the grand jury labeled Kline a sexually violent predator. The indictment said Kline "touched the breasts or buttocks of some victims", labeled Jane Doe #1 through Jane Doe #7, and "compelled others to touch his genitals". end quote 98.103.113.98 (talk) 13:52, 22 November 2024 (UTC)

- Just because she teaches at that school, doesn't mean she should be in charge of "cleaning up" their reputation on Wikipedia as well. 98.103.113.98 (talk) 13:54, 22 November 2024 (UTC)
