Your recent edits
[edit]Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:
- Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
- With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.
This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Al-Masirah TV
[edit]Thank you for your contributions about Al-Masirah TV and linking it to the page "List of journalists killed in Yemen." You might want to consider adding a section called "Notable works of journalism" on the page. I found an article in Jane's Weekly (see here: [1]), but unfortunately the balanced part of the article and the part that has Al-Masirah is cut off in the free version, which makes it into a one-sided story on first read. Do you have access to a database to get the longer, balanced version? Also the channel was the target of a terrorist attack in 2014. Do you have any info on that? That could be added to the section on attacks. I'm not as familiar with the television channel as you are, but are there any personalities or programs that are significant? You have a good start! Dhala
[edit]Hi Between 1967 and 1990, Dhale was in north Yemen or south Yemen ? Regards. --Panam2014 (talk) 15:18, 5 March 2016 (UTC)
- @Panam2014 Thanks for noticing that, Dhale Governorate as a whole is a new governance made after the unification in 1994, it's a mix from lahj(south Yemen) and taiz, ibb & Albaidha (north)
- so you can say it's 70% north, 30% south.
- I will expand that article in the future and write a lot of info :).
- YemArabSf (talk) 18:05, 5 March 2016 (UTC)
- Dhale city origin is from Lahij Governorate. YemArabSf (talk) 18:07, 5 March 2016 (UTC)
- So Dhale city was located south of Yemen. Would you have the boundaries and names of the former provinces before 1994 ? --Panam2014 (talk) 18:18, 5 March 2016 (UTC)
- alHaseen, alShuaib, alAzareq & Jahhaf are the names before establishing the new governorate.
- I will add history in the future in Administrative divisions of Yemen that speaks about boundaries and cities in ottman empire, mutwakli kingdom, britsh conquer of south, north & south, and unification, need some time translating.YemArabSf (talk) 18:34, 5 March 2016 (UTC)
- " AlHaseen , alShuaib , alAzareq & Jahhaf " These are the names of former governorates. However , would you know what their new names ? --Panam2014 (talk) 18:46, 5 March 2016 (UTC)
- Have you got the new names of the 4 governorates ? That map is false and that does not inculdes Dhale city. --Panam2014 (talk) 19:10, 5 March 2016 (UTC)
- Found this on wikipedia Arabic Dhale before unity Yep, before unity there was no such thing called Dale in the north, it was parts of Ibb, Taiz & Albaida. YemArabSf (talk) 19:24, 5 March 2016 (UTC)
- " AlHaseen , alShuaib , alAzareq & Jahhaf" were districts or provinces ? The two map should be edited. --Panam2014 (talk) 19:30, 5 March 2016 (UTC)

- Otherwise , I know the governorate of Aden consists of several districts. Otherwise, Aden city is located in what district? --Panam2014 (talk) 18:17, 7 March 2016 (UTC)
Have you got an information ? Regards. --Panam2014 (talk) 20:25, 8 March 2016 (UTC)
Houthi government list
[edit]Hi Have you go the name of the ministers of the Houthi government ? You live in Sana'a ? --Panam2014 (talk) 18:47, 5 March 2016 (UTC)
- Yes, in Sana'a next to the presidential palace(al-Nahdain) & presidential guards 1 barracks, and it's not Houthi govermenate, it's mixture from Houthi(which is calledAnsarullah), General People's Congress (Yemen) & other Yemeni parties (except Al-Islah_(Yemen)).
- I will write the list of Undersecretary ministers, there are no ministers at the moment, it's actually the same as minister in an informal way at the moment, but formal minister is not yet announced due to situation & dis agreement on selecting the ministers. You can say same as Mohammed Ali al-Houthi is the president of Yemen but in an informal way which is the president of (Revolutionary Committee (Yemen)).YemArabSf (talk) 19:06, 5 March 2016 (UTC)
- Have you got the list of the pro Houthi military units in the army and the popular committes ? Could you make a photo of the President ? --Panam2014 (talk) 19:31, 5 March 2016 (UTC)
- I know the information, can provide them but with no reference that I know at the moment, as for the photo of the President, there are a lot of photos, but I think first I must get copy permission from almasirah. YemArabSf (talk) 20:57, 5 March 2016 (UTC)
- If you do not have a source of how you know what qi unit are pro Houthi? Also, for Almasira it takes OTRS ticket. Finally small TV if Yemen is located in Sana'a and controlled by the revolutionary committees so why in a speech of Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi in Aden there were Yemen TV microphones? Two channels have the same name? Panam2014 (talk) 21:37, 5 March 2016 (UTC)
- Knew it from pro-houthi tv/radio propaganda locally. There is a fight for Yemen TV, one is being prodcasted from Riyadh(pro-hadi)(nile sat) and the other one being podcasted from Yemen (pro-hothi/Saleh)(nile sat & ekspress44 sat), both with same name, because it's government channel, I think something about this should be written in Yemen TV article in Wikipedia, thanks for the notice. YemArabSf (talk) 22:06, 5 March 2016 (UTC)

- What is the name of the foreign minister of the government in Sana'a ? The government is recognized by which countries?--Panam2014 (talk) 19:59, 6 March 2016 (UTC)
- I will try to provide as much as information as I can, it's just I am not online those few days. YemArabSf (talk) 14:18, 7 March 2016 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for April 12
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Mother Teresa's Massacre in Aden, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Yemeni and Vatican. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

computer virus
[edit]Hi 976Bytes
Nice user name by the way.
Here's some tips for improving the article.
The introduction should not be excessively large as the first paragraph.(computer virus seems to have one a bit too large for an introduction.)
Also most of the articles content should be about the subject.(It's meant to describe what a computer virus is, history of the computer virus, how it functions and operates, and what are counter the countermeasures to it.)
The See also section is important and should not contain lists of companies who provide anti-virus solutions, but a link to anti-virus is fine since it's related in content.
Also be on the lookout for content that seems to have certain bias or promotes content. see this example on what to watch out for and how Dr. Web looked before some content was removed Dr. Web.
I hope this helps FockeWulf FW 190 (talk) 15:00, 25 April 2016 (UTC)
Hi I read your reply on my talk page.
I like the draft you proposed on how it should appear.(Well thought of.)
Hope to see your contributions soon.

Great job of also noticing it too... (I don't think I've heard the term badware used before.)
Also nice work on computer virus. Hope to see it reach featured article soon:).

Asian 10,000 Challenge invite
[edit]Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Asia/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like South East Asia, Japan/China or India etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Asian content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon which has produced near 200 articles in just three days. If you would like to see this happening for Asia, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Asia, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 00:57, 20 October 2016 (UTC)
Replaceable fair use File:Qaher-1 Missile lunch.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Qaher-1 Missile lunch.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the file description page and add the text
{{Di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}}
below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing<your reason>
with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable. - On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. -- Marchjuly (talk) 05:18, 30 August 2019 (UTC)
