It's fast and free. (Note: Sometimes, due to vandalism, you may be temporarily unable to register). Applying an indefinite block to this IP is not appropriate, unless it is a soft block, because the IP address will later be reallocated to a different, unrelated, and unsuspecting user, thereby impairing access to Wikipedia in an inappropriate fashion. Caution should be used when blocking this IP or reverting its contributions without checking. The best approach is to determine the CIDR IP numerical address range and make a higher-level decision to soft-block the entire range. http://www.arin.net/ (for approximately North America) and related sites can help to identify that range. Caution is advised when applying a range block as other Wikipedians, both registered and otherwise, may be affected.
Review contributions carefully if blocking this IP address or reverting its contributions. If a block is needed, administrators should consider a soft block using Template:Anonblock. Network administrators, to monitor this IP address for vandalism, can subscribe to a web feed of this page in either RSS or Atom format. |

Hello
[edit]Hi. I recently saw Military-industrial complex article and recent addition of content from animal-industrial complex article based on one book where it is claimed about that two are connected or the same. So as things need to get wide acceptance and recognition to be added at wikipedia, and this is not place for advocacy or promotion of thoughts to get some attention as I understood about Wikipedia. I opened talk page discussion too at Talk:Military–industrial complex#Recently added content. Please, as one editor with a lot of experience can you check, maybe I am in mistake or wrong so? Would be great. Thank you. 93.86.99.45 (talk) 22:33, 8 March 2021 (UTC)
- Just looking at the talk page discussion, it seems ok. It's a content issue, and those are best decided by consensus, which comes from discussion. There are now several editors commenting there, so your post accomplished that. The only suggestion I would add is to perhaps post notices at the WikiProjects that the article falls under; WT:MILHIST, WT:ECON, WT:WPA & WT:POLITICS, to possibly bring more attention to the issue. That is usually preferable to posting on individual user talk pages. - wolf 23:07, 8 March 2021 (UTC)
- Hello, before I didn't know, but after I posted at MILHIST page. 93.86.99.45 (talk) 18:14, 9 March 2021 (UTC)
- Yeah, I saw that you were posting there and removing your question from my page around the same time I was posting here. Anyway, I ended up commenting at MIC anyway, since it's on my watchlist. - wolf 18:37, 9 March 2021 (UTC)
- Hello, before I didn't know, but after I posted at MILHIST page. 93.86.99.45 (talk) 18:14, 9 March 2021 (UTC)
Please avoid edit warring
[edit]You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Points to note:
- Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Rasnaboy (talk) 13:30, 9 March 2021 (UTC)
This is the discussion page for an IP user, identified by the user's IP address. Many IP addresses change periodically, and are often shared by several users. If you are an IP user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other IP users. Registering also hides your IP address. |
