How disputes in Wikipedia are resolved

[edit]

Welcome to the Wikipedia community.

Please see the long-established guideline called WP:Bold, Revert, Discuss, aka BRD. Wikipedian editors figured out long ago that nothing is solved by repeatedly reverting other editors, nor in terse edit summaries. What you are doing at Sons of Liberty is termed WP:Edit Warring, is considered disruptive, and can result in loss of your editing privileges. No one wants that, but persisting in just reverting like this will leave WP's administrators no choice. To avoid this, stop reverting, and instead start a discussion, by going to the article's talk page -- Talk:Sons of Liberty -- click on "New section", and simply explain why you want to change the article the way you've done. The editors that reverted your changes, like me, can then respond with their explanations, to which you can respond, and so forth, leading to a discussion that reaches an informed consensus. This is fundamental to the way editors work on Wikipedia.

Please do this, so you can continue to contribute to Wikipedia. Thanks. --A D Monroe III(talk) 01:28, 21 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
