[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added to the page Loughton do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used as a platform for advertising or promotion, and doing so is contrary to the goals of this project. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Charles (talk) 12:26, 19 July 2011 (UTC)
Welcome
[edit]Hi 8livesremaining
Thanks for adding references to Loughton but they need to go at the end of the particular piece of text they are supporting, after the full stop. You can use the same ref in multiple places if you give it a name. See WP:Citing sources. The school link though does not meet our external links guidelines and will be removed. Happy editing.
p.s. Well done for removing the bus info. I hate that stuff and wikipedia is not a travel guide.--Charles (talk) 16:17, 19 July 2011 (UTC) I joined this to do what I want! dont tell me I've got 8 chances left and I did not remove any bus things. DO NOT change my work in the future. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Simona.master (talk • contribs) 11:57, 13 August 2011 (UTC)

- I have been active on Wikipedia for over ten years and am still learning. For one thing, the place and its processes keep changing. Anyway, feel free to ask about obstacles as they arise and I shall do what I can to help. For example, I shall assist in the matter of Alan Montefiore below. Andrew D. This rejection seems too severe as it is our editing policy that "Perfection is not required: Wikipedia is a work in progress. Collaborative editing means that incomplete or poorly written first drafts can evolve over time into excellent articles. Even poor articles, if they can be improved, are welcome..." The current version seems adequate for mainspace so, per WP:BOLD, I shall move it there and help move it forward. Andrew D. (talk) 21:26, 20 November 2016 (UTC)
Joint work

Wellcome
[edit]Good to meet again at Wellcome. Feel free to get in touch if you need advice or assistance afterwards. For example, see WP:CITE for details of how to cite in different formats. I've used different techniques in Constance Wood and Alfred Clark (director). Andrew D. (talk) 14:18, 15 June 2017 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. This is just a note to let you know that I've moved the draft that you were working on to Draft:ALGIS, from its old location at User:8livesremaining/sandbox. This has been done because the Draft namespace is the preferred location for Articles for Creation submissions. Please feel free to continue to work on it there. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to ask me on my talk page. Thank you. » Shadowowl | talk 20:02, 8 July 2017 (UTC)

Deletion discussion about Dr Hilda Clark
[edit]Hello, 8livesremaining,
I wanted to let you know that there's a discussion about whether Dr Hilda Clark should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Dr Hilda Clark .
If you're new to the process, articles for deletion is a group discussion (not a vote!) that usually lasts seven days. If you need it, there is a guide on how to contribute. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.
Thanks,
Slatersteven (talk) 18:27, 1 February 2018 (UTC)
Your draft article, Draft:ALGIS
[edit]Hello, 8livesremaining. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "ALGIS".
In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply and remove the {{db-afc}}
, {{db-draft}}
, or {{db-g13}}
code.
If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.
Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. ProgrammingGeek talktome 18:11, 1 November 2018 (UTC)
