AfD nomination of 30 Frames a Second: The WTO in Seattle 2000

[edit]

I have nominated 30 Frames a Second: The WTO in Seattle 2000, an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/30 Frames a Second: The WTO in Seattle 2000. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? SchuminWeb (Talk) 19:34, 21 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Expanding 30 Frames a Second: The WTO in Seattle 2000

[edit]

Better expand it soon, because posting a notice on the article talk page isn't enough to derail an articles for deletion request. Those requests will usually take about 3-5 days and in the case of an article like this, normally result in deletion. that isn't a crack on the article subject or the creators/editors. It is just how it works. If you have a concrete plan on improving the article (even ONE source from something reliable which covers the subject in significant detail is enough) but don't want to update the article right now, put that plan up on the deletion discussion. I'm not trying to talk down to you or tell you something you don't already know (as you've got a load of edits under your belt). I'm just trying to suggest a course of action. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. A tag has been placed on Washington Initiative 912 requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G14 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a disambiguation page which either

  • disambiguates only one extant Wikipedia page and whose title ends in "(disambiguation)" (i.e., there is a primary topic);
  • disambiguates zero extant Wikipedia pages, regardless of its title; or
  • is an orphaned redirect with a title ending in "(disambiguation)" that does not target a disambiguation page or page that has a disambiguation-like function.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time. Please see the disambiguation page guidelines for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator.
