Hi, I'm User:Whisperjanes. Welcome to Wikipedia! I really appreciated your message left on the Mae Martin talk page, because I do think there needs to be more discussion about gender identity and representation on Wikipedia.
I also wanted to personally reach out because I noticed you're using an IP to edit (which is totally fine!) and I wanted to encourage you to create a named account if you are interested. Although it's not necessary to have an account to edit, it does allow you to have more editing privileges and create new articles. It also allows you to be notified when someone replies to your messages (as I recently have on the Mae Martin talk page). In my opinion, Wikipedia needs more people who are willing to discuss and openly talk about diversity and representation, so I wanted to give a friendly welcome.
If you have any questions (or just want to learn more about relevant WikiProjects you can get involved with), leave me a message on my talk page. I'm involved in a some gender-based and LGBT projects on Wikipedia and would be happy to give some suggestions or answer any questions. Best - Whisperjanes (talk) 21:07, 30 March 2020 (UTC)
This is the discussion page for an IP user, identified by the user's IP address. Many IP addresses change periodically, and are often shared by several users. If you are an IP user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other IP users. Registering also hides your IP address. |
