Regarding the critique on Donovan's text of his song 'The Universal soldier'.

There is discussion on the sentence "But without him, how would Hitler have condemned him at L'wow", and whether that the name of L'wow, that could be a ghetto, should be Dachau. But I do not understand the logic of why Hitler would condemn a universal soldier? Recruiting millions himself?
