Scottorum is Latin for Scots. I have reported this is the past, modern bias and inaccuracy's on Wikipedia.
The Isle was called Scotia, see Wikipedia Scotia. The tribes title of Scotti was handed down from the Romans. There is no evidence that suggests the Irish ever called themselves Gaels pre 700AD. In old Saxon records, the people are called Scots.
Brian Boru gave himself the title of Emperor over all the Scotti people.

[edit]Hello, I'm The Banner. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit to Brian Boru seemed less than neutral and has been removed. If you think this was a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Apologies, I am trying to add legitimate sources to the original edit. Vandalism on Wikipedia is classed (from wiki) as non constructive edits. The edits I am attempting are constructive. Brian Boru wiki page has incorrect Latin to English translations. Contact with Wikipedia via email, wiki requested sources for constructive edits, sources supplied.
