Rookie:
a new recruit, especially in the army or police.
Debut:
a person's first appearance or performance in a particular capacity or role.
Please stop using the word Rokkie and remove it from hamiltons page and many others. Hamilton was only a rookie as you call it, the first time he ever raced a kart, followed by his first ever lower formula race in an open wheeled, open cockpit, single seat racing car. By the time he got to F1 in 2007, he had been racing professioanlly in open wheel, open cockpit, single seat cars for 9 years, he most certainly wasn't any kind of a rookie. 2007 was his F1 debut season, in other words his first appearance. This applies to all drivers in F1. By the time they have got to this stage in their career, and that is the defining word here, career, they are not rookies. Some might not have done the full lower formula route to F1 like Hamilton and many others, but they were in full professional open wheeled, open cockpit single seat racing prior to joining F1. They are not rookies by any means. If someones gone from another kind of racing, saloon, DTM etc without any kind of open wheel, open cockpit, single seat racing, then and only then could you use that word Rokkie to describe them but even so, they would have still been in professional motor racing, thus still not a rookie!

I deleted the paragraphs because his fathers finances and financial position in life and Britain have nothing to do with it. Look a your input on Alexander Albon and George Russell? Why haven't you mentioned their family wealth? What you have written about their early life is far more reflective and appropriate. You're almost making Norris out to be a spoilt little rich kid. If anything, the one currently benefiting from their fathers wealth, and is a spoilt rich kid is Lance Stroll. But all you mention is the fact his fathers a billionaire and what he owns. Reading both side by side anyone would assume Norris father is richer than Strolls, when it's the other way round. Far to often articles are written and published and if the family has some kind of wealth it's mentioned when it has no bearing on the subject. That applies to Lando Norris. He may well have had access to educational opportunities because of his fathers wealth, but so has my son who goes to Gordonstoun, not because of our wealth but because of a bursary. Lando Norris is where he is in Formula One because of driving skills, not a bank balance. Please amend the article to reflect this.
- You can make this argument in your edit summary or on Lando Norris' talk page. Just don't remove content without explanation in future. SSSB (talk) 13:35, 21 June 2019 (UTC)
