Welcome!
[edit]October 2017
[edit]Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. You appear to be repeatedly reverting or undoing other editors' contributions at Tom Petty. Although this may seem necessary to protect your preferred version of a page, on Wikipedia this is known as "edit warring" and is usually seen as obstructing the normal editing process, as it often creates animosity between editors. Instead of reverting, please discuss the situation with the editor(s) involved and try to reach a consensus on the talk page.
If editors continue to revert to their preferred version they are likely to be blocked from editing Wikipedia. This isn't done to punish an editor, but to prevent the disruption caused by edit warring. In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Edit warring on Wikipedia is not acceptable in any amount, and violating the three-revert rule is very likely to lead to a block. Thank you. Strawberry4Ever (talk) 21:33, 17 October 2017 (UTC)

Please read MOS:THEMUSIC. The "the" in band names like the Beatles is not capitalized in mid-sentence except in special cases like the title of the album The Beatles. Strawberry4Ever (talk) 21:33, 17 October 2017 (UTC)
Also please read MOS:NICKNAME. Thomas Earl Petty is correct, not Thomas Earl "Tom" Petty, because Tom is a common nickname of Thomas. Strawberry4Ever (talk) 21:45, 18 October 2017 (UTC)
Do not use multiple IP addresses to vandalize Wikipedia, like you did at Norman Rossington. Such attempts to avoid detection or circumvent the blocking policy will not succeed. You are welcome to contribute constructively to Wikipedia but your recent edits have been reverted or removed. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Long-term abuse from multiple IPs in Kent. Binksternet (talk) 21:56, 20 October 2017 (UTC)
Hello, I'm DrStrauss. I wanted to let you know that I reverted one of your recent contributions —the one you made with this edit to Desmond Child— because it did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Desmond Child. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Repeated vandalism can result in the loss of editing privileges. Thank you. Tompop888 (talk) (contribs) 17:04, 24 October 2017 (UTC)

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Desmond Child, you may be blocked from editing. Tompop888 (talk) (contribs) 17:04, 24 October 2017 (UTC)

. This is the discussion page for an IP user, identified by the user's IP address. Many IP addresses change periodically, and are often shared by several users. If you are an IP user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other IP users. Registering also hides your IP address. |
