Joseph Mendenhall
[edit]Hi-I added information about Joseph Mendenhall's education, birthplace, military service. Originally, this information was not in the article when it was first written. An infobox is needed in the article to include the information-Thank you-RFD (talk) 14:19, 18 September 2016 (UTC)
- _The infobox for the Joseph Mendenhall article has been improve and I took the info box tag down at the article's talk page-thank you-RFD (talk) 16:35, 18 September 2016 (UTC)

Infoboxes
[edit]I'm sorry to report that I have received an off-wiki complaint about your numerous infobox additions (presumably since I closed the acrimonious discussion at Talk:Noel Coward regarding an infobox). In particular, this edit was mostly content-free, there is no need to add that many empty fields, as it has no benefit to the reader. Can you please slow down a bit, and in particular use edit-summaries? I see you haven't been reverted yet, but I fear it's only a matter of time before you are and I hope then we don't have another nasty dispute. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 16:10, 26 October 2016 (UTC)
- On the other hand, I appreciate you adding the infoboxes!--Kintetsubuffalo (talk) 03:39, 4 November 2016 (UTC)
- However, is it possible to leave out unnecessary fields (like the 16x stuff), as every time someone accesses an article, they need to download the article's data via their server, whether it be on a mobile phone or computer modem. Adding an infobox increases the amount of data that needs to be received. For people who have a limit on how much they can download in a month, this increases their burden with no benefit to them. The relevant guidance says that the markup is sometimes downloaded even if nothing is displayed. So some of those fields which will never be used should be removed. (I just learned this today myself) Cheers and thanks again!--Kintetsubuffalo (talk) 04:26, 7 November 2016 (UTC)
