[edit]Hello, I'm Dorsetonian. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Koozå, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. [edit]Please stop adding unsourced content, as you did on Koozå. This violates Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Dorsetonian (talk) 11:57, 2 October 2019 (UTC)

Seriously, though
[edit]You cannot revert against consensus without consequence. Discuss on the article talk page, and develop a consensus before re-adding material like this. If you continue to do this without discussion, this IP will be blocked from editing. I'll leave a welcome template below explaining some useful info in more detail. --Floquenbeam (talk) 17:09, 11 October 2019 (UTC)

. Floquenbeam (talk) 16:17, 31 October 2019 (UTC)- If this is a shared IP address and you are an uninvolved editor with a registered account, you may continue to edit by logging in.
- It is really important you respond to people who disagree with your edits. This IP has been blocked for 1 week, and will be blocked for longer if you do not start communicating. If you start discussing this with people who have left messages on this page, any admin can unblock without talking to me first. --Floquenbeam (talk) 16:19, 31 October 2019 (UTC)

[edit]I hope I'm doing this right, I've never done any Wikipedia editing myself. Hello, I'm the network administrator for this office. This is in fact a shared IP address for about 40 people. I was surprised today when i saw a message announcing that our IP was blocked from editing Wikipedia for a week, and for disruptive editing of Cirque du Soleil pages, no less, which is bizarre given that we have absolutely zero business with them or even with anything marginally related. I apologize for our unruly user or users (we don't keep detailed web browsing logs so right now I don't know who did it). I'll see if i can do something about it, not idea what at the moment as I don't want to outright block Wikipedia access to the LAN, which is currently what I can immediately do.
- Thanks for your note. I'm the admin who blocked your IP address from editing. If by some miracle I understand the technical aspects correctly, there's no need for you to block Wikipedia access (which would, I assume, block your access from reading Wikipedia as well). We can handle blocking the IP address from editing if it continues to be necessary, but that way reading is unaffected. We generally don't ask for network admins to track down unruly users, but if you want to do so we appreciate the effort. It appears only one person has been editing Wikipedia, based on the subject matter, so this is hopefully not affecting others on your network. --Floquenbeam (talk) 19:21, 4 November 2019 (UTC)
This is the discussion page for an IP user, identified by the user's IP address. Many IP addresses change periodically, and are often shared by several users. If you are an IP user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other IP users. Registering also hides your IP address. |
