"Extremist"

[edit]

The article in question is an opinion piece by a political commentator. WP:NEWSORG states that "Editorial commentary, analysis and opinion pieces, whether written by the editors of the publication (editorials) or outside authors (op-eds) are reliable primary sources for statements attributed to that editor or author, but are rarely reliable for statements of fact." Thus, this source is not appropriate for labeling someone as a political extremist, a particularly controversial claim. I am not going to revert, as an edit war is really not worth it. Still, it is a breach of WP:NPOV to label someone a political extremist, especially in the case of WP:BLP. I honestly have no viewpoint to "push," as I've never even heard about -- and do not particularly care -- about Melanie Phillips.

Thank you,
