February 2011

[edit]

Please do not introduce incorrect information into articles, as you did to Number of the Beast. Your edits appear to be vandalism and have been reverted. If you believe the information you added was correct, please cite references or sources or discuss the changes on the article's talk page before making them again. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you. Ian.thomson (talk) 01:43, 19 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize pages by deliberately introducing incorrect information, as you did at Number of the Beast, you may be blocked from editing. Ian.thomson (talk) 01:55, 19 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

It doesn't matter what you believe

[edit]

This is your last warning; the next time you disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at Number of the Beast, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Ian.thomson (talk) 02:03, 19 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The issue is that you're not citing any sources, and running counter to the sources the article currently has. I've provided links and summaries of some of this site's rules you were going against. How about instead of me investigating Greek you try investigating the above guidelines on how things are done on this site. Ian.thomson (talk) 02:14, 19 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
As you can see here (the source cited in the article), Rev 13:18 says " ὧδε ἡ σοφία ἐστίν· ὁ ἔχων νοῦν ψηφισάτω τὸν ἀριθμὸν τοῦ θηρίου, ἀριθμὸς γὰρ ἀνθρώπου ἐστίν· καὶ ὁ ἀριθμὸς αὐτοῦ ἑξακόσιοι ἑξήκοντα ἕξ.," not "ὧδε ἡ σοφία ἐστίν· ὁ ἔχων νοῦν ψηφισάτω τὸν ἀριθμὸν τοῦ θηρίου, ἀριθμὸς γὰρ ἀνθρώπου ἐστίν· καὶ ὁ ἀριθμὸς αὐτοῦ χξϛʹ." You appear to be the one altering the scriptures, at least as far as Wikipedia's guidelines are concerned. All you have to do is cite sources for your changes. I don't see how you could be having trouble understanding this. Ian.thomson (talk) 02:24, 19 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
