Hi, I reverted the changes you made to the article Eikaiwa school for a couple of reasons... I don't want you to take this the wrong way which is why I'm leaving a note on your talk page but the kinds of changes you made to the article generally raise warning flags - pointing out a particular English school, indicating it's been reported in news media but not providing the actual reference, and putting in an entry to the 'external links' section to a commercial entity that was previously added in the article- The concern with these types of changes is that the possiblity of a a conflict of interest is a concern. If you run or own/manage a Mike's English school than you are still welcome to edit pages but it's best to let other editors add information that involves the school you are affiliated with. The best thing to do if this is the case would be to add any information or links to secondary sources that involve mike's English school on the discussion page. - Hi metatron, thanks for your message on my talk page. This is how users contact each other. I don't have alot of time right but wanted to say you shouldn't feel discouraged just because something you wrote got reverted - I'm aware that many small schools provided lessons at discounts after the Nova collapse and have a few references for it, just none that mention your school. do you have a link to the article in Asahi that you mentioned? The underlying rule of thumb on wikipedia is that if you are going to add content it should be based on a reliable secondary source (like a news paper article, News report on TV, etc) but those details should be included. It's not a big deal if you have a conflict of interest - all you really have to do is avoid adding content that is directly about your school - you can still add content to any article you choose. If you can provide the sources you mentioned I will take a look at them and we can work together to include the material. Statisticalregression (talk) 05:56, 27 August 2008 (UTC)
