Yeah, you aren't.. but you have proven yourself to be a very active participant on Wikipedia, and although you didn't join the project yet, you still might want to look at some of the links above. I personally didn't get greeted when I joined Wikipedia 3 months ago, and it took me a while to get to know everything well.
