- Give it a rest with the canned admin responses as if you have any higher level of authority. You're the only one who has a problem with it. 73.193.138.253 (talk) 11:33, 28 June 2023 (UTC)

Your recent editing history shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war; read about how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.
Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. - Then let him know the same thing. His initial edit to the Smash 4 page was done despite months of that line not being an issue, and reverting it to how the page was initially gets me spammed with these canned "vandalism" warnings as if he has any authority on the matter. And of course, as soon as I go back against his attempts to ram his version through, he searches through my history for other edits of mine to undo in retaliation and call those "vandalism" as well. I can recognize "my way or the highway, how dare you go against me" behavior when I see it. 73.193.138.253 (talk) 16:53, 28 June 2023 (UTC)
- You can tell PhilKnight did so by looking at my talk page. It's not "my way or the highway, how dare you go against me" but more in the vein of "the Wikipedia community's consensus or the highway, why do you keep changing articles unnecessarily". We do not need "also known as" or "colloquially known as", it's unnecessary and not mentioned in the article. Per WP:BIDIRECTIONAL it makes perfect sense to mention a controller variant in the GameCube navbox. soetermans. ↑↑↓↓←→←→ B A TALK 17:12, 28 June 2023 (UTC)
- You alone don't count as a consensus--and you were the one who changed the Smash 4 article unnecessarily. Also, the Smash Box is neither official hardware nor notable enough to be placed in the GameCube's main hardware navbox--being a fan-made niche controller for a single game and thus irrelevant to the vast majority of GameCube-related material--and if the justification is that the GameCube hardware template is transcluded onto the Smash Box page, then it ought not to be. Listing the Smash Box on a page of third-party accessories, sure, but it's the same reason as to why Project M isn't listed among the main lineup of Smash games anymore when it (erroneously) used to be. And yes, I'm aware of WP:OFFICIAL. Regarding why that would apply for Smash 4, the "スマブラfor" moniker is officially used in Japan and its homophonic equivalent Smash 4 is what's commonly (and almost even universally) used in the west. You can see how prior versions of the "also known as Smash 4" segment in the page's edit history even noted as such, providing the "スマブラfor" translation alongside it. 73.193.138.253 (talk) 18:23, 28 June 2023 (UTC)
- But I guess that's it for any discussion, huh? I alone was blocked for edit warring and you got your way as the last edit, so you don't need to engage with the anonymous user anymore since you "won". Typical bad-faith behavior. 73.193.138.253 (talk) 22:54, 29 June 2023 (UTC)

- You said the issue with that template requiring a link to that article was the fact that it was transcluded onto it, per WP:BIDIRECTIONAL. So I simply removed the transclusion. It shouldn't be on that article, nor should that article be listed in the template. It's not official nor notable enough hardware to necessitate being included on the template and so I removed it. It's already in the "Smash in eSports" template, which is the only place it belongs in. Now, if you want to actually argue against my change this time rather than running away after you "won" as you did before, then do so. Don't simply keep watching for any activity from me simply so you can revert it without further word than bogus canned warnings. Once again: "vandalism" doesn't mean "a change I personally disagree with", nor does your opinion alone constitute "community consensus". Either engage me properly or knock it off. Enough with this unearned veneer of authority in an attempt to dismiss anything you don't like by default without actually disputing it. 73.193.138.253 (talk) 11:26, 4 July 2023 (UTC)
