Regarding your revert on Goober Pyle [1], don't use the edit summary for unnecessary discussion. If it's content related, use the article talk page, if it's user behavior, use the user talk page. Make your edit summary a summary of your actual edit and leave direct messaging to specific editors out of it. Statements like if you actually watched the show could easily be interpreted as a snide comment, especially since you're making a fairly large leap in your assumption. Keep it WP:CIVIL and avoid unnecessary comments. Editing from an unregistered IP does not exempt you from following our policies.

As for why your edit was tagged as possible vandalism, that's because you triggered a filter with the system (meaning, I didn't tag it; Wikipedia did). That filter was triggered because of the following combination: You're editing from an anonymous IP, your edit was very small, and it did not include an edit summary. As a result, it triggered a system filter tagging it as possible vandalism for review.

There are benefits of registering. One of those would be that you're less likely to have edits tagged as possible vandalism. There are many other good reasons. Consider WP:SIGNUP. ButlerBlog (talk) 19:56, 7 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
