[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Temple Mount, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and read the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Per WP:ERA: "Do not change from one style to another unless there is substantial reason for the change, and consensus for the change with other editors." Per WP:MOSNUM, "If an article has been stable in a given style, it should not be converted without a style-independent reason." and "Where Wikipedia does not mandate a specific style, editors should not attempt to convert Wikipedia to their own preferred style". Please refrain from making any more such edits. Let's not fix what's not broken.' Hertz1888 (talk) 07:11, 20 May 2011 (UTC)
3RR notice
[edit] You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Temple Mount. Users are expected to collaborate with others and avoid editing disruptively.
In particular, the three-revert rule states that:
- Making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period is almost always grounds for an immediate block.
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you continue to edit war, you may be blocked from editing without further notice.
Please note that the policy you are quoting in your edit summaries, WP:ERA does not say that the original era style must prevail in all articles. Now that you are engaged in a content dispute regarding this article it is your responsibility to engage with the editors who disagree with you on the talk page. While this is being discussed, it is normal practice to let the long-stable, consensus version of the article remain until the conclusion of the discussion. Also note that you are already in violation of this bright-line rule and are receiving this notice in lieu of a block only because you are an apparently new editor who has not been previously warned about this policy. --Steven J. , but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. — Malik Shabazz Talk/Stalk 18:30, 20 May 2011 (UTC)During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.
