Correct the size value of Betelgeuse
[edit]It says on here that Betelgeuse is about 1,000 times the diameter of the Sun. But in fact, new observations and data measurements by the Solar Mass Ejection Imager aboard the Corolis and 3 different modeling techniques produced a refined parallax of 5.95 +0.58 −0.85 mas, meaning it's 764 +116 −62 times the diameter of the Sun and 168 +27 −15 pc or 548 +88 −49 ly from the Sun.

This shows us how outdated parts of this page are.
We try to keep this page up to date. The line should say "Stars range in size from neutron stars, which vary anywhere from 20 to 40 km (25 mi) in diameter, to supergiants like Betelgeuse in the Orion constellation, which has a diameter about 764 times that of the Sun, and hypergiants which can be thousands of times the diameter of the Sun, with much lower densities.".

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions, but in one of your recent edits to American Boy, it appears that you have added original research, which is against Wikipedia's policies. Original research refers to material—such as facts, allegations, ideas, and personal experiences—for which no reliable, published sources exist; it also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. Thank you. Binksternet (talk) 06:02, 18 September 2021 (UTC)
Please refrain from adding, removing or changing genres, as you did to Bouncy techno, without providing a source or establishing a consensus on the article's talk page first. Genre changes to suit your own point of view are considered disruptive. Thank you. Binksternet (talk) 06:04, 18 September 2021 (UTC)
