Hi, in regards to your recent edit to Pınar Selek, there is an ongoing appeal in this case, throughout which the accused has maintained her innocence. The evidence against her has been scrutinized by outside experts as 'unscientific', the courts' decisions have no procedural precedent, and she has support from numerous academicians, journalists, and activists from around the world that have called for the charges to be dropped, as they have been used to label her a 'terrorist' for doing research on a sensitive issue. There is sensitivity required when writing Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons with ongoing legal proceedings. Here is what Wikipedia states regarding persons accused of crime:

"If different judicial proceedings result in seemingly contradictory judgements that do not override each other, refrain from using pithy descriptors or absolutes and instead use more explanatory information."

Please read through all of the references provided in the article before making further additions that are not in line with the unique circumstance of this case. Kyleheatherly (talk) 16:12, 28 January 2013 (UTC)Kyleheatherly[reply]
