User talk:68.39.174.238/BLR/1
Basic review of notworthy blocks during October 3rd!
The first block of the day came quickly, as Luna Satin (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · nuke contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) blocked 68.38.143.114 (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · filter log · WHOIS · RDNS · RBLs · http · block user · block log) for "Vandalism" at 12:01, UTC.
Following that, several malicious usernames insulting various administrators were blocked, some with interesting summaries like "o rly?" and "wouldn't you like to know" to accounts that made notorious accusations and obnoxious questions. A user account was then created to reply to the "wouldn't you like to know" block summary, which was then blocked with "...", ending the conversation. Tawkerbot (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · nuke contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) also got an insult-username.
At 2:12, an AOL range was blocked for 6 minutes. Prior to that for the 1:00 hour, most blocks were of users for bad usernames or vandalism, one of which "The Mystery Man (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · nuke contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) was blocked for image plagairism. From the AOL block on to about 2:45, most blocks were IPs. At 3:30, a non-Latin vandal, Σανγο123 (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · nuke contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log), was blocked. 12 minutes later, and impostor or doppelganger of Richard Arthur Norton (1958- ) (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · nuke contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) (Nice username) was blocked.
At 4:56, the seminotorious Burkem (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · nuke contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) was blocked for two days for being responsible for the flood of early Norman/Anglo-Saxton fraudulent biographies into the hoaxes category. Most of these are now ProDded. Some stuff in 205.288.x.x was blocked for running a vandalbot for a while.
From 6:15 to almost 8:00, more attack usernames came up, most including the usuall offensive username's creativity, including the old school "I WILL SUE YOU IN A COURT OF LAW IN NEW JERSEY (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · nuke contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log)", which hearkens back to the 3/III/1 vandal.
Just before noon, the obnoxious "WTC" vandal put in a minor appearance but was quickly suppressed. The first block of the afternoon was of 194.154.22.54 (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · filter log · WHOIS · RDNS · RBLs · http · block user · block log), a proxy of the notorious "Internet for Learning" (And vandalising, evidently).
Around 1PM, Wangi (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · nuke contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) block a few accounts that looked like they were impersonating a Supreme Court judge from somewhere and editing biasedly. At 1:13, 3 accounts of rather minoric attitude insulting generic names were blocked.
One of the more amusing blocks occurred at 2:39 as DragonflySixtyseven (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · nuke contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) blocked Mattlewisthepimp (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · nuke contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) with the reason "no pimps allowed"!
From about 2:50 to 3:30, IPs were the main fare, along with a WP:NLT block. At 5:01 the "WTC" vandal put in another account. From then on to about 6 floods of IPs were blocked for various vandalisms, the longest being for about 6 months. At ~6:12 the "Great Kitten Huff" accountor came back and was again suppresed before any damage was done.
At 6:31 an extremely depraved vandal, directfuture (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · nuke contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) was caught SPAMming via TEMPLATES (Similar to the notorious WoW account I, (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · nuke contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log))! This noxious attacker was indefinately blocked for this.
Just prior to 7PM, several sockpuppets of a blocked troll were also blocked. The next fifteen minutes were more IPs. At 7:17 Gold-Horn (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · nuke contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) was unblocked for being a legit user on another WMF wiki (en.WN). This was overruled about exactly one hour later.
At 7:43, National Service Center (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · nuke contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) was blocked for trying to use the site as a webhost, similar to the aincent personal file storage account, one of the first community blocks.
Near 9PM several more conversiational "Kitten Huff" accounts were suppressed. An interesting username, Do my continued donations really keep Wikipedia running? (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · nuke contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) was suppressed at 10:47.
At 11:05, the HIGHLY suspiscious account Internetmarketingcenter (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · nuke contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) was also blocked, although they have no contributions.
THe final block came at 11:13P of 164.106.53.177 (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · filter log · WHOIS · RDNS · RBLs · http · block user · block log) by Mr. Lefty (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · nuke contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) for "vandalism" for 31 hours.
