Information icon Hello, I'm Theinstantmatrix. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to Gerry Connolly have been undone because they did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think a mistake was made, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. theinstantmatrix (talk) 20:12, 29 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Apologies for this warning; it looks like you're trying to move the image to another section. I have undid my revert to your edit because of this; you've somehow left the "]" on the article which caused me to revert your edits as vandalism, which it turns out it's not, and the whole situation could've quickly resolved by me simply removing that one character. Please use your device's copy/cut-paste feature so you can move the image without any mistakes and/or sudden reverts next time. Thank you! theinstantmatrix (talk) 20:26, 29 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

Edit summaries

[edit]

Information icon Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.

Edit summary content is visible in:

Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. You can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → Tick Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Thanks!
