Welcome!
Interested in becoming a regular contributor to Wikipedia? Create an account! Your , so you might receive messages on this page that were not intended for you.To have your own user pages, keep track of articles you've edited in a watchlist, and have access to a few other special features, please consider registering an account! It's fast and free. (Note: Sometimes, due to vandalism, you may be temporarily unable to register). Applying an indefinite block to this IP is not appropriate, unless it is a soft block, because the IP address will later be reallocated to a different, unrelated, and unsuspecting user, thereby impairing access to Wikipedia in an inappropriate fashion. Caution should be used when blocking this IP or reverting its contributions without checking. The best approach is to determine the CIDR IP numerical address range and make a higher-level decision to soft-block the entire range. http://www.arin.net/ (for approximately North America) and related sites can help to identify that range. Caution is advised when applying a range block as other Wikipedians, both registered and otherwise, may be affected.
Review contributions carefully if blocking this IP address or reverting its contributions. If a block is needed, administrators should consider a soft block using Template:Anonblock. Network administrators, to monitor this IP address for vandalism, can subscribe to a web feed of this page in either RSS or Atom format. |

If you only meant to make test edits, please use the sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. Tarl N. - Hi there. I can see that the the first edit you made to Erik Prince was not vandalism, as it had some legitimate basis. (FRC is well known and it has be listed as a hate group by the SPLC.) So this was a false positive. That being said, the edit was controversial and I don't agree with it so I will not be restoring it. If you'd like to argue for it to be restored I suggest you do so at Talk:Erik Prince. --Dr. Fleischman (talk) 18:08, 14 March 2018 (UTC)
- If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

[edit]This is your only warning; if you vandalize Wikipedia again, as you did at California Republican Party, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. This account appears to be a vandalism-only account. Marquis de Faux (talk) 20:30, 31 May 2018 (UTC)

This is your only warning; if you vandalize Wikipedia again, as you did at American Legislative Exchange Council, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Quit vandalizing Wikipedia Marquis de Faux (talk) 20:34, 31 May 2018 (UTC)
Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/California_Republican_Party. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Repeated vandalism can result in the loss of editing privileges. You altered the ideology section to include Naziism. That's considered vandalism. You didn't reference any sources either. --THE FOUNDERS INTENT PRAISE 22:31, 31 May 2018 (UTC)

@Ronhjones: it seems to me that ALL the edits made under this IP have been vandalism. Is only 2 weeks block of an IP with absolutely no proof of AGF the norm? Nergaal (talk) 07:16, 1 June 2018 (UTC)
- @Nergaal: Two weeks is a long time for a first block and reflects the edits made, also it's a dynamic IP - the user is likely to change IP at any time - https://whatismyipaddress.com/ip/67.180.161.149 - then some ome ealse will have it. Ronhjones (Talk) 12:47, 1 June 2018 (UTC)
- It's theoretically dynamic; in practice, Comcast IPs are sticky. I don't know what you have to do to force Comcast to assign you a new IP, but it's more than simply power-cycling the modem. Again, in practice, they seem to last for years. Tarl N. (discuss) 20:19, 1 June 2018 (UTC)
This is the discussion page for an IP user, identified by the user's IP address. Many IP addresses change periodically, and are often shared by several users. If you are an IP user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other IP users. Registering also hides your IP address. |
