Please don’t bite me, I’m a newbie!
I’m a university student in a Wikipedia Education class, and I’m currently learning how to contribute to Wikipedia.
I am approaching my subject in good faith.
If you have any concerns or questions, my tutor’s name is Ajcwritwiki (talk · contribs). Thanks!

Marking edits as minor
[edit]Hi 502wsmn! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor at Kawasaki Z1300 that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia – it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Please see Help:Minor edit for more information.
Almost all of your edits have mistakenly been marked as minor. Any edit which changes the way that the text is read and understood is not minor. It's important that you learn this early on. Thank you. --Rocknrollmancer (talk) 03:48, 13 December 2021 (UTC)
Please use edit summaries
[edit]Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.
When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:
Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)
You can use the edit summary field to explain your reasoning for an edit, or provide a description of what the edit changes. Summaries save time for other editors and reduce the chances your edit will be misunderstood. For some edits a summary may be quite brief.
Please provide an edit summary for every edit you make. With a Wikipedia account you can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Thanks! --Rocknrollmancer (talk) 21:29, 6 January 2022 (UTC)
Citing sources
[edit]Please note that https://www.motorcyclespecs.co.za/ is not considered as a WP:RS - it is an aggregator, a scraper-site using content from elsewhere to create their own content. Thank you.--Rocknrollmancer (talk) 21:34, 6 January 2022 (UTC)
Motorcycle terminology
[edit]Hi there. Where did you get the terminology you used in this edit? https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Kawasaki_Z1300&diff=1063472027&oldid=1060044129 A "wagon" is a type of car and a "streetcar" is a tram - I've never in a lifetime of owning and riding them heard these words used to describe motorcycles.
