[edit]

Apologies, I should have given a reason in my edit summary. Before reverting, I checked the NFT link in the article, which gave him 43 "FIFA matches" + 1 "other". That's not the same as the infobox figure, but it's considerably above the 23 which you added unsourced and unexplained. RSSSF gives 44: whether that's the same as NFT's 43+1 or not I cannot tell.

Did you have a reason for changing it to 23? cheers, Struway2 (talk) 20:53, 8 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thing is, general stats sites are reasonably accurate for big leagues and big countries in recent years, but they can't and don't cover everything. If RSSSF, NFT and footballdatabase list nearly twice as many caps as transfermarkt and worldfootball, then we can be sure that transfermarkt and worldfootball are incomplete.
I'd suggest changing it to RSSSF's 44, and use that page as a cited source. RSSSF is a reliable source, and its content isn't user-supplied; it may not be correct, but it looks to be an improvement on what's there unsourced at the moment. cheers, Struway2 (talk) 21:48, 8 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I agree with you. 5.167.160.56 (talk) 01:10, 9 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
