Welcome!
[edit]Hello, 4wikin9, and welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as Hexary, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines, and may not be retained.
There's a page about creating articles you may want to read called Your first article. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the Teahouse, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{help me}} on this page, followed by your question, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:
- Your first article
- Contributing to Wikipedia
- Biographies of living persons
- How to write a great article
- The five pillars of Wikipedia
- Help pages
- Tutorial
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Questions or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! McGeddon (talk) 17:52, 14 January 2016 (UTC)

[edit]Please do not add or change content, as you did at Hexary, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. McGeddon (talk) 18:23, 14 January 2016 (UTC)
Forum for proposals
[edit]Yes, Wikipedia isn't the place to propose or publicise brand new ideas. The article at Wikipedia:Alternative outlets might give you some pointers to better places for this kind of content. --McGeddon (talk) 18:37, 14 January 2016 (UTC)
- As pointed out above, WP talk pages are not the place for proposing new ideas. I am removing your recent contributions to talk:Leap year. Also, note that our custom is to add new sections at the *end* of the talk page. The "New Section" tab near the top of the page is the easy way to create a new section. -- Elphion (talk) 12:48, 22 January 2016 (UTC)
Your recent edits
[edit]Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:
- Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
- With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.
This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.
Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 19:59, 14 January 2016 (UTC)

[edit]Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to add soapboxing, promotional or advertising material to Wikipedia, as you did at Talk:Duodecimal, you may be blocked from editing. -- GB fan 18:34, 31 January 2016 (UTC)
- I see you are still trying to push your original nomenclature. It's not suitable for Wikipedia. You might just possibly get it published elsewhere but the established name and symbols are not likely to be displaced, and "hexenary" has already been claimed as a six-hundredth anniversary. I suggest you find a more fruitful focus for your efforts. Dbfirs 07:26, 16 March 2016 (UTC)
