A cup of coffee for you!
Heya! I was just about to revert User:Dezoth13's flagrant BLP violation when you got to it. I appreciate your work on the encyclopedia, even whilst remaining anonymous! Justarandomamerican (talk) If you're here to build a encyclopedia, have a nice day doing so! 01:49, 6 March 2023 (UTC) |
- Thanks! And thank you for your help as well! 47.227.95.73 (talk) 01:49, 6 March 2023 (UTC)
Thanks
Another side effect of remaining IP, no one-click thank button... thank you... - Adolphus79 (talk) 23:10, 9 March 2023 (UTC)

Double signatures
Hi there, just a quick little note, you are leaving double signatures on user talk pages, such as here: User talk:103.20.180.102. Just a signature before the shared IP notice is enough (or at least that's how Twinkle does it). Don't worry about going back and removing the dupe sigs in existing talk pages, I'm just suggesting you to remove the duplicate signature in your user warning templates clipboard (or whatever you use).
Anyways, I admire your great contributions and anti-vandalism work a lot!
Thanks.
AP 499D25 (talk) 11:30, 14 March 2023 (UTC)
- @AP 499D25: Yes, that is not deliberate, but an accidental issue on my part. I had noticed that, it is a consequence of manually adding warning templates (IP addresses cannot use anti-vandal tools like Twinkle) which can lead me to add double signatures after the Shared IP template. Thanks for letting me know. 47.227.95.73 (talk) 20:14, 14 March 2023 (UTC)
- Got it, that makes sense. AP 499D25 (talk) 04:26, 15 March 2023 (UTC)

NPOV
Please follow a neutral point of view when editing articles, rather than explicitly praising the subject. Thanks. 92.25.213.36 (talk) 02:51, 16 March 2023 (UTC)
- What exactly are you referring to? 47.227.95.73 (talk) 11:18, 16 March 2023 (UTC)
A cup of tea for you!
It's nice to see that you're still around doing patrolling work :) —*Fehufangą (✉ Talk · ✎ Contribs) 01:10, 17 March 2023 (UTC) |
- Thanks! I took (another) long wikibreak as I was pretty busy with school, but a friend of mine reminded me about Wikipedia and I decided to come back! ;) Hopefully this time I will be here to stay. Thanks again, 47.227.95.73 (talk) 10:56, 17 March 2023 (UTC)
So fast!
How did you manage to revert the edits of that LTA so fast? I pressed refresh every two or three seconds, but by the time an edit popped up it was already reverted! AP 499D25 (talk) 11:23, 17 March 2023 (UTC)
- @AP 499D25: Not all of those reverts were mine, I'm assuming you are referring to the revers made by User:Nythar. 47.227.95.73 (talk) 20:23, 17 March 2023 (UTC)
Hi 47.227.95.73, please keep WP:BLPRESTORE in mind. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 21:50, 26 March 2023 (UTC)
- @ToBeFree: I mainly reverted because of how the user removed the content, as in, keeping the = in, but I will keep that policy in mind in the future. Thanks, 47.227.95.73 (talk) 22:20, 26 March 2023 (UTC)
- Yeah, even ClueBot NG reverted them because of the low-effort way they did this. No worries. :) ~ ToBeFree (talk) 22:22, 26 March 2023 (UTC)

A kitten for you!
It's always great to see an IP reverting vandalism, keep it up.

surf board fins
You asked for references on my edit on the history of the Future fins fin box. I acquired the information by interviewing the parties involved. How do you refrence that? Toes405 (talk) 22:30, 20 March 2023 (UTC)
- @Toes405: I should have probably been more specific with my message. Your edit did not conform to WP:MOS as well as being unsourced. For this edit to work you will need to add a reliable source that can be cited properly (an interview that was not published won't work), and the edit will need to be rewritten to match our editing style. For more information see WP:CITE and WP:RS. Thank you, 47.227.95.73 (talk) 22:34, 20 March 2023 (UTC)
- How about the patent #'s I referenced in my edit? Did you look at them? Toes405 (talk) 22:37, 20 March 2023 (UTC)
- In most cases, you are going to need to link your citation. A plain title/reference with no link won't work either. 47.227.95.73 (talk) 22:39, 20 March 2023 (UTC)
- I've added the links. Toes405 (talk) 22:56, 20 March 2023 (UTC)
- Better, but it looks like you are going to need something more concrete than that. I would also recommend looking at Help:Referencing for beginners. 47.227.95.73 (talk) 23:00, 20 March 2023 (UTC)
- patents.google.com is not a secondary source. It would be fine if you included that reference alongside a reliable secondary source that mentions the text that you added, but on its own, it's not significant enough to include the text. Wes sideman (talk) 14:49, 24 March 2023 (UTC)
- ok then, I will re-edit with an citation directly to the US Patent Office. Does that sound better? Toes405 (talk) 20:12, 24 March 2023 (UTC)
- Yeah. I did some research on Google and I couldn't find any other good references other than Google patents, so I would stop re-adding that sentence. 47.227.95.73 (talk)
- I've asked for a third opinion on this at the talk page. Toes hasn't stopped re-adding that sentence. Wes sideman (talk) 12:48, 29 March 2023 (UTC)
- I am on vacation right now (meaning my IP address has changed) so I am not going to get involved in this issue. Thanks, 82.24.81.126 (talk) 20:04, 29 March 2023 (UTC)
