Nancy Churnin
[edit]Hello! I'm glad to see you on Wikipedia. However, I think you should know that the Wikipedia community generally discourages anyone from creating or editing an article about themselves, due to the inherent biases of autobiographical writing. As such, I would discourage you from editing the Nancy Churnin article in the future, since you have acknowledged that you are the subject of the article. Some limited exceptions to this general guideline are laid out on the page to which I provided a link, and you may be interested in reviewing that page to learn what is perfectly acceptable and what is discouraged. If you have anything you'd like to have added to your biographical article, or see anything therein you'd like to have changed, now or in the future, you're welcome to mention it on the talk page, or to mention it to me or anyone else you know who edits Wikipedia. I certainly can't guarantee that the Wikipedia community will always be able to accommodate your requests, but I will do my best, within Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
I'd like to let you know that I recently removed some material from your biographical article, because I regarded the material as borderline promotional, especially given the lack of reliable sources and dubious notability. I hope I'm not coming across as callous or overly harsh, as I'm certainly not here to make enemies. I am here to preserve the integrity of Wikipedia.
If you'd like to edit Wikipedia in the future, you're more than welcome to. I'd recommend checking out Wikipedia:A primer for newcomers, Wikipedia:Contributing to Wikipedia, and Wikipedia:Teahouse for information to help you get started.
